  1. I know its getting to the point in spots on 61N/Cartesville Hwy that you have to gun it and pray to get on the road off of any side road almost like you feel its every man for themselves. Grass is 4 ft tall so people can't see w/out being in the road or even with windows down to at least try to hear if anything is coming is impossible b/c of the grass barrier. Also when side roads are at the crest of a hill it is impossible to see what is coming up either way. Oh and the MAJOR weepers when it rains are getting VERY bad. Sorry, but there are a few spots on this road that could use a light. Spe
  2. That and the commercials are ear blasting (which I thought it was passed that they had to be lower in volume than the shows) and the you can hardly hear the shows w/out cranking up the volume. A show we had DVRd the other night had a 5 min commercial segment. We also have the issue up on Cartersville Hwy of the cable scrambling all the time. At times worse than satellite in a storm.
  3. Thats where I get confused. Maybe I'm just being a moron IDK. We pay for our package +have to pay another $35 for HD and extra for the box. I have been up and down with them saying it should be included in the package on our bill like it states when ordering new or on the contract saying main box is included in rate along with service , but we get charged additional.
  4. RIP. My New Years Eve involved him EVERY year growing up and as an adult. It just won't be the same.
  5. Its getting squatchy
  6. If Comcast wouldn't charge us $35/month for HD service we aren't currently capable of getting (no HD TV yet) it wouldn't all so bad. They tell us everyone pays for it. Funny my dad doesn't and none of our friends do and they all have the same package.
  7. Hate to say it but Gparents have less rights than us dads, and we have zero. I hate it, found all this out with my custody battle experience. I guess we have to live by it though whether it be right or wrong.
  8. About 10, sun coming out on Cartersville Hwy.
  9. Our kindergartener LOVES this one. Sorry for just the link. Have no clue how to get vid to show
  10. HAHA http://youtu.be/7movKfyTBII http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7movKfyTBII
  11. Would have to go with "The Highway Man" already posted or "This Cowboys Hat-Chris Ledoux"
  12. Saw that on Saturday. He's still fighting. I'm only 32, but will listen to them over a band from my generation anyday. I grew up in the wrong music era
  13. I've never had an issue. My family has done it for years. A lot of farmers spray it on their fields up north to kill weeds after they till. Some reason thats not all I typed up above. High concentrate for gravel areas, sidewalks and driveways. Regular salt mixture for gardens fields etc.
  14. Strong concentrate of boiling salt water
  15. We heard it as well. Prob another wreck on this crappy road everybody drives like they're in the Indy 500.
  16. Sure does look like it. I'm thankful though that we aren't getting bulletins saying and I quote "If you don't have a storm shelter underground or any other shelter strong enough for a tornado, YOU WILL DIE" My wife's cousin in Oklahoma says the news is freaking out the people big time.
  17. Either way, I tell my kids once they are old enough to run and not look back.
  18. We're debating on whether or not to even do a full veggie garden this year. Last year was a waste of money. 10 mater plants and only 4 qts of salsa
  19. Thats as bad as the 80 yr old guy who zigzags the lanes on his bike on Cartersville Hwy. Shopping carts have a seatbelt though LOL. WOW crazy
  20. To me it sounds kind of funny that Martin's parents are now calling it an accident.
  21. His entire counsel has quit due to lack of contact. Not looking good.
  22. And vice versa. I guess I have never seen a smoke alarm, locking doors, jumper cables, or a spare tire mortally harm someone. To me its like walking on eggshells constantly. If its my time its my time. Like I said it doesn't bother me others do it, but to me its not a way of life to live. Seems to jumpy, but hey thats my opinion. Weird I feel this way since where I'm from you can shoot someone who comes on your property.
  23. Then again there is the the arguement that non professionals who carry guns are scared of everybody else. There are 2 sides and I can see both. The other day I saw a guy (non LE) carrying in a grocery store and a small kid literally pissed his pants from fear and was screaming about "the badman" was going to hurt them. So I guess call this kid ignorant. Sorry I don't find it necessary b/c to me thats living life in constant fear unless needed with exception of LE or military overseas of course who deal with danger daily and not only is it protection, but a tool. Don't get me wrong, I could
  24. Exactly right. Our field (mechanics) requires more common sense and really know what your doing more than anything. I would rather have someone with common sense and knows how the real world works than a fresh college pup who has no clue. Though I know it doesn't work that way. While I do have a degree and expect my kids to get one, I really find it useless and pointless. I see many kids these days with these top notch degrees but don't know their a** from a hole in the ground.
