Yep. Got 5, from 4-12 yrs old. Everyone of them have been spanked at some point. I really believe spanking them early and establishing the order of command from day one has helped. I can't remember the last time one of the olders ones were spanked. We are still working on the 4 year old

Kids know when they can get away with something. They know when you have thrown your hands up. I KNEW when I was in my mothers care = ok to smoke, when my dad was around = my arse would be KICKED EVERYTIME!!!! Yes, I still ended up smoking but he made things MUCH more difficult.

I just stopped smoking a few months ago and hubby still smokes. There is a time and place for it, just like there is for everything else. I agree, it is an addiction. My problem is, and always has been that it is YOUR addiction. Don't put it on everyone else, esp. kids. I know it's a pain. I used to get out of the car in parking lots to smoke when I had the kids. I had to go outside in the winter to smoke. That's what you do around kids. Deal with your problems on your own time.

Sure there is!!!! I wish my mother had not had that attitude. Maybe I wouldn't have had such a problem quitting last year. At 14 YOU still have power over everthing! Even her friends. Don't give up. Her health is still too important for that. Seriously!
