Just wondering, did you install the patch MS release last week? I have seen 3 computers this week that appear to have been infected because the didn't install the patch. If you can't reach the site, the malware has probably modified your hosts file c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts It *should* only have a line like this after the section of text marked by #'s 127.0.0.1 localhost

Ad-Aware is another good product, but for removal of nasty stuff its hard to beat Malwarebytes. A combination of Malwarebytes, Ad-aware and Spybot can take care of about 90% of the junk out there. Past that it's best to get an expert involved as some of the tools can do nasty things while attempting to fix your PC.
