Anyone heard about a bus being surrounded by cops

Unacceptable. I think while we all agree that kids could drive us all to the brink of our sanity, we also all agree that there is a line that adults simply do not cross. -
So who else has been nominated...........................

I am a raging bitch today. Between the supermoon, pms, dumbasses at conferences, etc...........I'm on the prowl. -
I'm leaving that night open....just in case some one asks me to go. Crazy is contagious.

Kids everywhere were out of their minds today. Kids in the office, mouthing off, rowdy, on.my.last.nerve. I was barely able to be in a classroom with the kids today.....you'd be talking me off a ledge if I had to drive a bus with them! (ftr, doesn't excuse actions...just sayin') -
mmmm......Thai.....I think I'll go out Saturday night and get some.

I thought that juvenile records were sealed? I'm tapping out. I have no ideas.

As in a crisis center of some type?

It's hard to win fans with Disney.....not in the demographic watching this show. It was B.L.A.N.D.

Just about all of them are good, or can become good. This is by far the most talented season. It's early in the season....some will shine as the song choices get better. But I predict a girl will be going home.....and it will be Thia.

Naima shouldn't have been in the top 13. She blows.

If You Care About Your Children's Education
workingforaliving replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I finished 2 grad degrees as a single mother with a baby in the house. Luckily, grants for teaching critical fields covered a lot of that, but I have to *work* it off. 2004 is when I graduated. Jobs were a dime a dozen. Maybe college isn't the way to go right now if there aren't any jobs to pay the bills? Seems like food, clothing, and shelter become priorities over a college education. -

I am/was first generation college, so I understand how you feel. 40+/hrs a week making pizzas sure did teach me a thing or two about the value of a dollar. Loans took care of the rest. Left college with $22,000 worth of loans. $185/mo for life. Considering what my income would be without a college education, I'd say it was worth the trade off. -

if you can't afford college, don't go. -
I went cheap on my last set (since I was expecting) and they've been awesome for 4+ years....and I think the set was around $600 (12 mo no interest).

I recently found out that Bob Saget was the voice over on "How I Met Your Mother'" and now I don't know how I didn't know all along. The obnoxious "Aflaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack" makes more sense now. -

This is where I would start to disagree with most of the folks on this board. My kid starts pre-K next year. I have been and will continue doing "my damn job" as her parent, regarddless of if the program is funded or not. She is in preschool now and knows as much as many kindergarteners. Why? Because we talk about every.freaking.thing using big girl words. I believe that many middle class families will still send their kids to pre-K, even if the out of pocket expense is higher, because that is what's best for our children. However, the lower income brackets won't send their kids now. Educ -

Only certain ones..... -
I wrote it "Jelly Bellys" but backspaced because I figured I had to change the y to i and add es. I don't know that I've ever noticed how they spell it. I've been trying to be more structurally accurate with my writing lately. Ask me a math question, I'll be able to give you a better answer

How Far Should The Rights Of Children Go When

Depends on the severity of the allergy. I have had students keep epi pens up front for things like bee stings, and on them (with a dr note and parent statement of responsibility). Same with inhalors, insulin, etc. Depends on the severity if they're kept up front or in the classroom. -
Every once in a while they'll put "belly flops" on sale on their website. Lots o' Jelly Bellies for cheap.

The SAT thing didn't sit right with me. I think it was psychological, more than a knowledge impact. I did significantly better the 2nd time I took the SAT. Doug Benson probably isn't a highly intelligent person in the first place. It was an interesting movie to watch, but it didn't sway me toward mj being okay to smoke on a regular basis. I think it should be legal, but it isn't, so I leave it alone. If it were legal, like all things, moderation would be key.

I don't think the movie did much for the movement so much as it made a mockery of it.

A good friend of mine told me, "anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die from it" I'm sure she got that from somewhere, but it's absolutely true.
