My mother refuses to pull forward. It used to annoy me....but I have more than once pulled forward and then been forgotten....they already had my money, so I drove back around. I used to work a drive thru. You have to have the person who multitasks best there.

+100 for egocentricism. My daughter loves the bell and always wants to give a few bucks to the charity. They let her be their helper for a few minutes afterwards. Highlight of her holiday is standing there ringing the bell. Of course, we stress charity in my home, so it's all part of the lesson.

Firefighters respond to a lot more than fires. Based on stories I've heard. It's an extremely dangerous job.

I read that earlier and wondered the same thing. Most of us are blessed to have "normal" children. I couldn't imagine the fear.

I like having someone to hangout with when the kiddo is doing her sports. It hasn't always been like that for me. None of my friends have kids (at least not in the same age group) so I think it's nice having someone to talk to about school woes and ask for advice on parenting issues I may be having. We support each other. It's the best "clique" ever.

You're not doing a great job making your case. You appear to be an asshole. No wonder people don't want to hang out with you. You get what you give.....self fulfilling prophesies and all that jazz.

I've had new car fever for a while now.....it's like baby fever, but cheaper. I want an SUV, but I can't commit to the gas. My Corolla gets awesome mileage!

When I find myself stabbed in the back numerous times, I have to stop and look at myself.....then decide if these people are worth having around. I don't notice this about women, as I don't get involved in the drama.

Nothing to do with it. It's been a mall, movie theater,, church, street corner. I assure you at every "government" education leader is thinking about ways to improve safety in our schools and ways to prevent this from happening. Place your blame where you'd like, but I'd prefer that the fault lie with the asshole who shot children.

My kindergartener is gone for the weekend with her dad. I was looking forward to a weekend alone to do some shopping......now? Not so much.

I've only ever once seen a cop patrol that school zone. Saw them on Williams Lake frequently, though. The white car (waiting to turn) was the AP at Austin according to my Facebook feed. Also, the ticket for speeding in a school zone, even if the cop doesn't know the school zone has ended because he can't see the lights from his position and you provide time evidence that the school zone was over when you were stopped, is $283, if anyone wants to get bitter about it.

Why should the not sick kids not get to go to school? When would those days be made up? There is a lot to consider.

I love reading threads where people post "facts" that are false. I would work through my insurance company. But I'm one of those people that spend a ton of money to have things done for them,...like cut my grass and change my oil. Every time I call my brother to come over and fix something he tells me to call my husband....I'm not married....I think he's hinting at something. I'm glad you're getting this resolved. I'm equally as glad that you stood your ground in this thread. You're my hero of the day.
