  1. Is this is July 1 law? I can't keep up with which ones are January and which ones are July! I just came back from ATL......and I was speeding. Note to self
  2. i'm covered. I got insurance on my kid after attending the funeral for a friend's kid....never occured to be prior.
  3. A few people have changed their names/#'s if that changes. Some change thier names completely to become a new personality.
  4. I'm in Temple and it's pouring pretty heavy here.....lots of thunder/lightning.
  5. I'll be there, though I may not be much fun. Dropping off the baby with her dad killed my spirit
  6. Nope, they all stop in February......I know this because that's when my students stop having them.
  7. Surely that picture is out of context?
  8. The best part of that is that he thinks he's hawt.
  9. That dude has a nice bod. We may have to tonk this
  10. What kind of world do we live in when a 12 year old child can't be trusted alone with a baby? If she had left the child to watch the baby while she took a shower, the same thing may have happened. No sense in blaming the mother----she couldn't have known.
  11. If it was this past school year then evals/reevals were WAY behind!! You have to know your rights and push sometimes.....but things eventually get done. I teach special ed and I would NEVER rely on the public school to do the "right" thing by my kid (if she were to need services). I've more than once told my lead teacher "Lord help the IEP committee if my kid were to ever need an IEP"
  12. Only a small part of it is "petting" (I think) and that's part is sectioned off. We rented the van and my (at the time) 4 month old baby rode in the front seat with my mom so she wasn't disturbed by the animals. There are bars on the back/side windows so the people in the back of the van can feed. I would NEVER drive my personal vehicle through there.
  13. The school HAS to consider reports from private physicians.....but will still conduct their own testing.
  14. IF the ADD is impacting academics then there is an option of a 504 or special ed services. There's a process, but you may want to look into it.
  15. See, I knew you were involved somehow. We won that game, didn't we?
  16. It was fun. Not something I'd do often, but definately fun for the kids Make sure you charge your camera batteries!!!! The petting zoo there was good too....the tiniest ones like that.
  17. OH yeah! It's all coming back to me now..
  18. last one I went to I got spanked by bwitchy..........or was it you? I was wearing a mask, so I couldn't tell.
  19. This should NEVER drive the decision you make about YOUR child. It's hard enough teaching middle school without dealing with social promotion.
  20. It's a tough decision and it's hard to tell how students will do. Keep in mind that the 5th grade was designed to prepare him for 6th (6th for 7th, etc). Do YOU think he's prepared for middle school? If the answer is no, then hold him back. If the answer is yes, then send him on. I am a huge fan of retention in elem school. If he's going to get back on track, it's going to happen NOW. You can't *hope* he'll come around. It's like that saying "A stitch in time, saves nine"
  21. I don't know....ask when you order. I know the PJ's in VR had a sign up last time I got carry-out saying they were going to stop taking checks at the end of June.
  22. Nope, even pizza places aren't taking them anymore. The only thing checks are go for are paying bills....they're too easily forged and overdrawn which costs businesses lots in fees and lost revenue.
