Tattoos have meaning to the people who get them. Why would they want to conceal them? I rock mine in a bikini....and a wedding is about the couple getting married, not the judgmental asses in the pews.

The extent of gooberment involvement should be health related....sanitized needles, etc. I have two tattoos. I got one at 19 and the other at 31. I thought and planned both if them for months. I think tattoos are beautiful. I think no tattoos are beautiful. Jorts on the other hand......

I'm in a similar boat....got the 1 st graders progress reports with a scale of 1-4. I have 3 degrees in education and I had to take a moment to figure it out. As for summarize/formative, think of it like this... Summative means the assignment was a test grade. Formative assignments are more daily work....homework, class work, quizzes. I think it's a 60/40 split.

Back when AYP was a thing you could look at the %age of kids with >10 absences.....some places were close to 15%!!! When I look though student records it is not uncommon to find many, many kids who have missed 20, ,30, or even 80 days (that's not a typo!!) Some schools are better than others about keeping up with and reporting truancy.

I went to a training about 21st century skill in the classroom. I was inspired until I remembered our budget....but she talked about Skyping other classes from other parts of the country/world....using the interwebs to compare news stories from other cultures when major events happened in order to truely talk about current events. It was awesome. I took good notes on/with my iPad.

I walked in elem school.....unless it rained. I have rain issues.....as is evident my the umbrella and emergency poncho hoarding problem I have.

Awwwww, a stoneager! My kid (1st grade) had a Nook, not a room full of books.......technology has advanced, keep up!!

When I sign in on my iPad, the same sites are blocks as are blocked from a desktop in the district. I'm thinking a Droid based system would be better. Apple is limiting, and no flash.

I had these problems when I unlocked my old phone and bought a SIM for straight talk. Once I bought THEIR phone, the problems went away. They're up to S4, so I'm several seasons behind. $299 was my limit. I would have paid $199 for a new phone and a 2 year with Verizon, but I make up the difference in a little over 2 months of the half priced non-bill.

I just got the S2 on Straight Talk and I get excellent service on Ridge Rd. My old phone didn't get coverage at My sister's house over there, but this one does. And it's half the price.

I feel like I've had more positive interactions with people, and not. Maybe I just don't stuff bother me....if I'm in a rush, that's pretty much on me, not the store. Many are open 24 hours. I should have used my time more wisely.. I get anxious and frustrated if I'm in a hurry and someone is going slow or stupid, but that's on me.....

My phones wouldn't work. I quit VZ and went to straight talk. The little one is into everything. EVERYTHING.

What network? I have a few Verizon Smartphones around here.....somewhere....
