  1. Is that Easy Street Pawn? Thanks, I'll check them out.
  2. huh? The same fee as a gun owner? I don't understand your comment. There are some FFL's who charge $35, some who charge $25, some who charge $20, and some who do a transfer for free. Gun stores who have to cover high overhead costs usually charge more. Some, such as 4th Armory in Marietta, do transfers for free, just for the opportunity to get people to come into their store. But, Marietta is a long way away. I'd rather do business locally, but at a lesser price than the premium that the local gun stores charge.
  3. Yes, I've checked with local gun stores. There are individuals who have FFL licenses that are closer, though, and may not charge as much.
  4. Is there anyone here who is an FFL? I need one for an internet purchase of a pistol. What would you charge, and how can I contact you?
  5. The owner of Flour Child bakery told us the owner of the building is selling it. They only lease the building. They are hoping the new building owner will let them stay, otherwise, they will relocate.

  7. I sometimes wonder at the people who don't know the definition of fascism. a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
  8. We once had a dog that had severe neurological problems, and had grand mal seizures many times each day. Uncontrolled, the seizures would be almost non stop. It took a long time to find the right combination of medications, but eventually we were able to cut the number of seizures down to 2 or 3 per week. The seizures had started soon after maturity in this dog, and lasted her entire life. And she lived many years, and her life was a good one once we got her on the right meds. I realize Mona is not in as dire a situation as our dog was, so I can tell you that no matter how bad it seems to
  9. My neighbor says there is not any kind of band or tag on it's leg. So, I guess it is just a wild one that is separated from it's flock for some reason.
  10. Is anyone missing a homing pigeon? A white and black pigeon/dove has been perched on our neighbor's rooftop for several days now. There are no other pigeons around, just this one. It sits on the rooftop all day long, with only a couple of very short periods each day. Our neighbor says he is very tame, and comes down to their sidewalk every morning. It will come up to within just a foot or so from her 3 year old child, and doesn't even flinch when she screams. So, I just got to wondering if he is a wayward homing pigeon, and can't find his way home.
  11. The guy visiting San Francisco... Was he from New Guinea?
  12. Flour Child is closed from Sunday through Tuesday, but normally open Wednesday through Saturday. I like to stop there for cupcakes.
  13. You can write in a candidate. I'm not sure what the rules are on that, though. Such as, if a write in candidate needs a certain percentage of the total ballots to be recognized.
  14. My wife would probably like a slow riding group. I tend to like to ride fast. What group would that slow riding thing be? You might have another potential member.
  15. Performance Bicycles in Kennesaw is where we bought our bikes. They have a large selection, and the sales people know their stuff. In Paulding, Cycology in the OfficeMax shopping center in Hiram is good, but their selections tend toward the more expensive bikes. Bone Shaker in Powder Springs also has staff with good bike knowledge, and they sell used top notch equipment.
  16. I guess there's a reason we don't have a lot of Der Wienerschnitzel's around here.
  17. And if you had loaned him your good mitten racquets, he may have never needed to make bee traps.
  18. Thanks Pubby. That worked for me.
  19. The New Content page. Down at the bottom of the page, there is a link titled "Mark Community Read", which pulls up a menu. When I select "Mark All Read", I get the error message page titled paulding.com Driver Error and the body of the error message is There appears to be an error with the database. 20. Can't do it. There seems to be a problem with marking all posts as read.
  21. But he's a lumberjack, and he's okay. But even if the security guard at the metal detector checkpoint was armed, a bad guy could blast him with a shotgun and walk right in. Then, he would have open access to as many unarmed victims as he wanted. A gun free zone only means the law abiding will be gun free, and defenseless against thugs who chose to not obey the law.
  22. It probably was an assault phone, with a high capacity address book, and a fully automatic speed dial.
  23. If they aren't who they say they are, they must be can'tidates.
  24. The owner has been found! Not reunited yet, but I have been in contact with the owner.
