  1. Been seeing Sutherland for right at 20 years. Bardwell delivered my oldet (he was on call) and CNM delivered my second DD. Love their practice!
  2. Crazy but I remember Muskrat Love by Captain and Tenille....ewww, I'm old!
  3. Someone also posted a thread on here about zombie apocalypse....looks neat as well, howbeit a little far (in Conley GA)
  4. Don't know of anyone that actually packages and sells it, but if you hook up with the right people, you can usually get some done. I haven't been hunting in quite a while (my .243 is lacking some attention), but I can usually get some small roasts from hubby's friends each year, and I make my own. It's not hard, just a little time consuming. Hubby has a guy he works with that actually grinds the meat and reforms it into sticks...it's pretty good, but I personally like to cut the thin strips myself, marinate, then dehydrate them.
  5. DD is a junior at HHS....We'll be there!!
  6. Seems to be hitting the schools too. Most don't run fevers but feel feverish just the same. Stomach ache and nausea. Some vomiting, some not. DD came down with it last week. Missed school Thursday as she WAS running fever Wed night. Seems to be okay now.
  7. If I were you - I would JUMP at the chance!! I've been trying to figure a way to swing it myself, but the gas cost would tear me up. Good luck....
  8. Quite a few members of my church (Christ Central) all attend there and THEY LOVE IT. They have early morning classes - like 5 am for cardio kickboxing that I know of. The Pastor's wife and Pastor of Music have collectively lost over 100 lbs since starting cardio kickboxing in Feb of this year. The transformations have been AMAZING! The owner of TNT was with another local gym, but then opened TNT - and everyone from our church followed him. They love him, his wife and family. I would go myself, but I'm at South end of Paulding and it would be too much of a haul for me. website is www.tntk
  9. I have a newer Altima 08 - and the blasted thing beeps once when I unlock doors at handle, a second time if I unlock the rest of the doors, but I can say this...it WILL NOT lock the doors if the key fob is in the car. It can drive me crazy, but it does help me keep up with the key fob. Unlike my older Mustang, I'll be COL if I lock my keys in it..LOL
  10. Charleston SC has an RC Cola & Moon Pie Store - I'm sure they've got to have more than just one of those stores. Try Google search...you could also go onto RC's website and locate a store - I've often found that if you search for the stores that are further away from the Metro areas, you can usually find what you're looking for.
  11. I know it's only been a little over a month, but DD called me from bus on way home upset because Blake's car is at HHS. I know a lot of young people were touched by this tragedy, yet I still believe and explained to DD that even in his short time on earth, Blake is making a difference. A number of kids have pledged to buckle up for Blake. While for some it may be macabre, this can serve as a good conversation starter about the importance of wearing your seat belt, as well as discussing the distractions that beset us so easily when we're behind the wheel. (And Parents, you know we deal wi
  12. You can do just about everything online with Verizon. The only question here would be whether you can arrange to port your number from Sprint to Verizon online. When you go into the stores, you get "rebates" in the forms of checkcards that you have to apply for. when you order online, the rebates are instantly applied. Another thing you want to look up is whether or not your employer offers any sort of discount with Verizon. Mine does, and although the discount is only off the primary number, every little bit helps! I've had Verizon since before they were Verizon, and just upgraded to the
  13. At the top of the "Newly Composed" email select Add Attachment, click on the first Browse box - this will show their computer info, and they will need to locate the document, once the link is in the box, click Attach at the bottom right - it may take a moment to complete. Then you send the email once it finishes.
  14. Youngest DD got one from school with her report card - it is NOT valid for Friday evenings - only the daytime M - W and Thurs evening.
  15. thanks - a coworker lives right there and saw all the commotion, lights and helicopter - but wasn't sure what may have happened.
  16. Anyone now what was going on around this area (RR near Bookout) last night around 10:30-11p?
  17. Youngest DD is entering 6th this year - when we attended the Parent Night before school ended, the basics were: 2 - 3" binders (DD wanted 1" individuals) Divider tabs - if you go with the 2 larger binders College ruled paper #2 pencils - they specifically said no mechanical pencils - but that ain't flying with us 1 pk of copy paper (I think this is more for teachers than students) Composition books - not spiral bound notebooks Ruler Black, Blue, Red pens Colored pencils Highlighters Erasers Planner - if you don't want to buy the one at school I bought 2 pocket folders also Tis
  18. You're welcome, LR. I don't post much on here, and I actually had never met Blake, but DD had him in PE and lunch period this past year. All I heard about - almost everyday - were the antics at lunch of Blake, Drake, Ryan, and I think Josh(?) DD was pretty shaken getting the news and attending the memorial - but at least it gave her a chance to say a good-bye. She said, "Mommy, he came up to me a couple days before end of school, gave me a big hug, and said he was gonna miss me and would see me around. He said he would come back to HHS to see us." I explained, that alothough he's gone i
  19. You know, LR, I attended the memorial with my DD and it was amazing that the young folks that shared all basically stated the same thing: They were better for having known Blake. They spoke of how aggravating and pesty he would be, yet he would always let them know that it was how he showed them they cared. One young man recalled an ISS story: They were in ISS together, talking, when the teacher asked them to quiet down. Blake asked him a random question, "When I die, will you come to my funeral?" The other young man answered and said that "even if I'm in Washington DC, I'll be there".
  20. Check your other post - I'd link, but don't know how.
  21. They are on Cole Lake Road. It runs off Scoggins Rd and Buchanan Hwy (120). I drove past yesterday, in case my DD wanted to go by there. I came from the BHwy side. It's in a set of curves that have a 20 mph sign - a little closer to BHwy side if I recall correctly (I'd never been on the road before). Had to have been freak thing, as where the crosses are - there is an embankment that rises up behind it. There are several small crosses, and one large that is brown (stained wood) along with balloons. Brooke posted on FB that her and Blake's dad were taking the flowers from the memorial to the
  22. JW - I would suggest pm'ing Armymom. Names are usually not disclosed. p.s. - is this the JW that knows my Emma?
  23. For those that were unable to attend Blake's Memorial...it was very moving. To see that many students/young adults there to show there respect and love, was amazing. I personally did not know Blake, but my DD had PE and lunch period with him this past school year. To the kids that stood up to share: Thank you for your courage! Your sharing brought smiles to many heartbroken others. Blake was obviously loved by many. Please keep this family, as well as the friends of this young man in your thoughts and prayers. And kids, "if you won't buckle up for your parents....buckle up for Blake". (
  24. I'll never admit it...but I've been "told" that he says the work "Baby" 54 times in that song!!!!
