Are there any haunted houses in the Dallas/Hiram area? If so, has anyone been and thought it was worth the money? If so, what are the prices? Thanks!

No one this day in time should be selling anything door to door. It's too dangerous for both parties. I have sidelight windows next to my door and always look out before opening and will often talk to them that way. I've had people come before either when it's getting dark and even during the day when most people are at work. What's the use in going door to door at 1:00p.m. during the day when most people are at work? And you want to sell something? Up to no good. Whether their selling cleaners, the newspaper(which you can get cheaper at a roadside corner), children's educational study

Private School is not immune to things happening. You'd be surprised the false since of security that people have in sending their kids to private schools. I personally know a couple of families that have actually taken their kids out of private school due to incidents.

You should take him right away. A 12-14 foot drop is alot. I would take him down to Childrens Healthcare and let them look him over. Even if you can't pay I think they can work something out with billing. Better to be safe than sorry.

Where can I send a family who needs school supplies?
rsjett replied to Taylor's P.A.L.S.'s topic in RECENT TOPICS
What items do they need? I might can help. I'm not familiar with your organization, but fill me in and I'll see what I can do. I might be wrong, but school supplies are not mandatory. Most of the time teachers' requests allow room for those that can't provide. -
I had some young man come to my door a year or so ago and was selling k-12 books and making reference to the elementary school and naming staff member names. I just told him flat out that I wasn't interested and he wouldn't take that for an answer so I finally just shut the door on him while he was still talking. I called the police and they came out and told me that they were familiar with him, but that technically he wasn't doing anything wrong. And also, they had spoke with him in the past and would again. The bottom line is if no one would buy anything then maybe they would go away. S

A favorite food or menu item no longer available?

Does anyone remember the old Carnation Breakfast Bars - 80's I think? We loved them! They changed the recipe and well they were terrible. What about the Marathon candy bar or the Smores cookies that you microwaved? Yum! -
We have 3 cats and keep the litter box in the basement. Something that has worked great is a dog crate taken apart with a top and bottom. We put an opened litter box at the back of the crate and took the unhinged grilled door and place it in the bottom of the crate in front of the litter box exiting the opening (this catches most of the litter from their paws before exiting the crate). We also have a rough welcome mat tucked under the crate as the cat exits. We keep the top of the crate just placed on the bottom of the crate for easy access for scooping. We hold the top on by placing 2 sm

I haven't been on a plane in 20 years and am planning a trip to the Bahamas this summer. Where do I find the best prices for flights? What are all those add on fees I see on the different websites and how do I know what the total cost would be? I'm confused. I would appreciate any information. Thanks!

Is this locally grown food only?

Dollywood and Splash Country in Piegon Forge Tennessee is one of our favorites when staying close to home. Dollywood is a theme park with some nice rides and the best roller coaster I've ever been on - ThunderHead. It is a very clean park and priced well. Splash Country is "Dolly's" water park and is the nicest one I've ever been to including Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. You'd need to check, but they had a Splash and Play combo ticket where you got access 3 days for the price of 2 at either park. Also, they have horseback riding in the area, back roads Hummer tour, hiking, etc. We always ha

Anyone familiar with Nassau, Bahamas/ Paradise Island and excursions like a boat ride to another island or land tour around Nassau? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks!

You'd need to just call around. I think most churches do allow nonmembers to rent the sanctuary, but at a higher cost than members. Hey, what about an outside wedding? That would be beautiful in October.

I have dreams all the time and can remember very specific details about them. Some dreams are good and some are not. If I'm worried about something or have eaten too late before I go to bed I usually will have a bad dream. There are a few things that I dream about often and I guess it's because those are things that are on my mind alot. I've always wondered what babies dream of - cheerios, their swing, etc. And what about people in other countries with a different life experience?, I guess their dreams are set in their surroundings. I mean how often do you hear of people here dreaming a

Are the courts fenced in? If not, could they be? Maybe a fence that couldn't be jumped. I don't live in 7 hills , but I have a family member that does. I know the homeowners dues are heavy. I've heard that the HOA is really picky - monitoring weeds, trash cans, etc. Instead of riding around trying to find some code out of compliance, go hang out and monitor the amenities. I bet the homeowner's would appreciate that alot more.

I just have to comment on all of this. First, employers do use the "be greatful you have a job" line, as mine has. And I love my supervisor, but she used this last year and we did not get a raise eventhough #s were up and stable. We felt like the economy was just an excuse not to give those that were deserving a raise. Jobs are hard to find right now and employers do have the upper hand because there are many waiting in line to fill your spot if you leave. That's just the way it is. On the Government Healthcare Plan - Please, this makes me so irritated. Anytime the government gets inv

We will be passing through Page, Arizona in July. We have been before, but only toured Upper Antelope Canyon. It will be, myself, husband, mother(71), and kids 13 and 7. Any suggestions? I saw there was a float trip from Glen Canon Dam and an Antelope Boat tour at Lake Powell, also a walking tour of the Lower Antelope Canyon. It has to be something not very strenuous, so I wanted to know if any of these are worth the money and appropriate. Thanks!

I have a question. I went to the doctor yesterday, for fever, being achy, dizzy, headache, etc. I was tested for the flu and don't have it, but have a sinus infection. The doctor put me on amoxicillin, don't know if I've ever had this before. I took 1 dose around 10:00 last night and woke up this morning with bubbly tiny blisters, looking like a drool pattern coming out of my mouth. I googled allergic reactions and didn't find this one listed. I already feel better so I know the medicine must be working. Does anyone know what that could be? Thanks!

I don't remember exact details, but I think 1 of the boys was also considered the "boyfriend" and that was the reason for the killing - jealousy and the reason he killed the 3 year old was because she could identify him. I think the boys stated they were high on drugs and were trying to use that as a defense. My daughter attended Abney across the street at the time. I remember driving through there around 1:00, not noticing anything, and returning to Abney around 2:00 to sit in the car rider line and the school being on lock down at that time. There was also an older child of this lady whom

Cough - Cough - Cough - I'm sick of coughing and being sick
rsjett replied to ga_dawg_fan's topic in RECENT TOPICS
You probably need to go to the doctor just to make sure it's nothing serious. I'm not sure if you smoke, but if you do lay off of that for a while. Also, years ago I got a tip from my dad. My daughter wasn't sleeping well at night and seemed to always keep a runny nose, a little cough, etc. My dad told me to keep the house cooler at night during the winter months and don't use ceiling fans while you sleep during the summer months. Sure enough, the next night I lowered the temp. in the house to 65 degrees(this was during the winter) and it worked like a charm. She hasn't had that ever si -
As a person as myself that has dealt with time periods of extreme anxiety, be careful with the whole herbal, all natural stuff. Especially if you take other medications. You should absolutely consult a doctor before trying any of these on your own. Personally, when someone has anxiety to the measure of disrupting everyday life, all consuming negative thoughts, fears, etc., they need to seek professional advice. Many times I tried handling it on my own and never was able to fully conquer it until I received professional help, medically and through counseling. Sure things like exercise, tal
