I don't comment on a lot, but just had to on this one. I have had, on and off, severe anxiety/panic attacks for over 20 years. I never thought, when I was at my lowest point, that I could ever live a normal life. It seemed such a far reach for me. There was a time period when I couldn't leave my house. I was in a very "Hermit" state of mind, but through medication, Zoloft, and counseling I feel free. And that is a wonderful feeling when you didn't think a light could be at the end of the tunnel sometimes. I now stay on Zoloft all the time, no on and off time periods like in the past.

After watching a show last week on Oprah, I have bought only hormone free, antibiotic free, etc.free, meat, milk, and eggs. It is a little pricey, but it depends on what it's worth to you. I honestly didn't notice a big difference in my grocery bill. I bought Publix Green Wise beef and noticed a richer flavor taste, even my children noticed a better taste and we didn't even tell them the change. The eggs tasted better as well and have a thinner shell(don't know if that means anything). I thought to myself that, it can't hurt to change those items, and if it's only a small change in my gr

I am curious if anyone has ever heard of this. I received and email today and it said that back in the old farming days people would cut an onion on both ends and place 1 in each room of their house to prevent sickness, like the flu. It also said that if you put a cut onion around someone that was already sick, that the onion would absorb the bacteria and turn black by the next day and the person would recover more quickly. Has anybody ever heard of this? I guess it couldn't hurt. I have heard recently also to never save an onion that has already been cut, that you need to use it as soon

Here's a great recipe with stewed squash: yellow squash sliced, 1 yellow pepper sliced, corn shucked off the cob, 1 small onion, 1 stick butter, and 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning. NO WATER. Mix all together and cook on stove top, covered, until all is tender. This is awesome!

With record lows in some areas and it being so cold here, I'm just curious where Al Gore is and also, if you haven't noticed in the news, global warming has a new media name. The media now calls it Climate Change.

Funeral home offers drunk drivers a free burial
rsjett replied to GeorgiaTornado's topic in RECENT TOPICS
You have got to be kidding me? If they should pay for anybody it should be the innocent people that are killed my drunk drivers. What about the funeral home paying for a breathalizer to be installed in each person's car that would like to get drunk and attempt to drive home. Hey, that would possibly help out everyone. That offer, if it's true, is so distasteful! -
The bottom line for me is this, this is just another way to get money out of those that already pay their way. We are being nickled and dimed to death at every turn. I don't know about you, but out of mine and my husband's paychecks, a lot of tax money is taken out and I certainly don't mind paying for all the services we receive, but common on, how much is enough? The honest tax payer already pays 3, 4, etc. times the cost of things, services, etc. to make up for those that don't, can't, won't pay.

Personally we put down laminate that looks identical to real hardwood floors; however, ours is not on a slab. So checking for moisture is a must. Laminate is a lot cheaper and we have had it for 2 years and have had no problem with it what so ever. We put it in our entire downstairs which includes a kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room. You do have to get spills up right away. We have 2 kids and 3 animals and have never had an issue with spills causing any damage. We had it installed professionally. We installed our upstairs master bedroom ourselves just a couple of months ago and althou

Try this. It's yummy, festive and easy. Take 2 cans crescent rolls and cut them, still rolled up, in thin round swirled slices. Place them on a baking pan arranged like a Christmas tree. Bake and set aside. In a small bowl, with mixer, mix 8 ounces softened cream cheese, dry powdered ranch salad dressing, a little mayo and a little sour cream (just too make it smooth). Spread on cooled crescent rolls. Then chop up (very finely): some green onion, broccoli, cucumber, red pepper, tomato, and any other vegetables, and sprinkle on top of cream cheese mixture. You don't need a lot of veget

Doing away with a Landline getting the "Jack"
rsjett replied to partiesbykellys's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We purchased this and returned it. I don't know all the details because my husband, who is technology crazy, handled this, but I do remember that we wouldn't have been able to keep our phone number, which would have been a pain. You would be issued some random phone number with an area code that was not local. The pain of changing that just wasn't worth it to us. Hope this helps. I know Clark Howard suggested this and that's where my husband heard it from. Check out his website for more info. -
I'm wanting to purchase a trampoline for Christmas. I don't know where to begin. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I want one with a soft bounce and I don't want a cheap one; however, I don't want a really expensive one either. Thanks!

How many nights are you going to be gone? We've done the driving the "Out West" trip 3 times. Two of those times for 2 weeks and 1 time for 3 weeks. We stayed in hotels though. Next time we're flying and renting a car. The land across the country is vast and if you've never seen it before it is a wonderful experience; however, it can be dry, hot, and down right miserable at times. My husband and I did it with 2 younger children and my mother. My mom was a big help. Driving from here to New Mexico, Colorado,or Wyoming(with not a ton to do or see) is a long haul and there usually is a b

We've cruised a couple of times and always taken Royal Caribbean cruise line. We've always heard they were the best so that's all we've chosen. I'm assuming you don't have children. We went the first time when we had no children and we had a relaxing fun time. The next time we took the children and I felt stressed out trying to keep them happy and finding things for them to do. They were bored while on the ship and frankly I was bored too. If it's just the 2 of you and you've never done anything like that before you'll love it. The food was awesome and sitting on deck out in the midd

We are currently refinancing our home under the new government program that offers a lower interest rate without having to get an appraisal. You still have to pay closing costs, which were low and can be rolled into the new loan. There's a special name for this, but I can't think of it right now. Your mortgage company will be familiar with it though. This works out great since home values are down. We checked into streamlining; however, to qualify for that, the house DOES have to be appraised. So that avenue was not for us. Check with your current mortgage company for your options. I m

Whatever you decide and are comfortable with is the best choice for your daughter right now. I personally allowed my daughter to get the Gardisil and Meningitis vaccines. I did have hesitation with the Gardisil, but went with my doctor's advice whom gave it to their grandaughter as well. That made me feel a little more comfortable. I never hesitated about the Meningitis vaccine. Recently though, I have seen reports via internet about the Gardisil having possible serious side effects. This has concerned me. My daughter had no reaction to the Gardisil vaccine besides being a little red a

I would absolutely rescind that. I haven't heard of that company. They may do a great job; however, if you do decide to replace your roof you need to get several estimates and recommendations from people who have already had their roof replaced and then choose.

Be careful! We just had our roof replaced due to hail damage. We chose 2 roofers, that we heard positive reviews from, to come out and first see if there was any damage. This was done for free. We then had the insurance adjuster come out and verify damage. Insurance did cover most of the roof minus our deductible. We still had to pay some out of pocket. I would only recommend using a roofer that someone has used and has been pleased with. We used Elite Roofing Company. They were awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
