  1. Wow! She said it was expensive but I never thought it was that expensive! I'm so glad that it was available for you. I know if something happened to my child, it wouldn't have mattered what the cost. I would hand them every credit card in my wallet to get her where she needed to be.
  2. Thank you, I'll ask her to call them in the morning. Hopefully we'll be able to find something so he doesn't have to sit in the car for 11 hours. I don't think he'd be very comfortable nor do I think it would be a wise thing to do.
  3. Has anyone ever had to transport someone from one state to another using any form of medical transportation? My step-father & mother drove to Pittsburgh so that he could have brain surgery. He said the doctor in PA was an expert in what he needed done and choose to make the trip instead of having a local doctor perform the surgery. He's not doing very well and and cannot be released to go home but can be released to a medical rehab center close to home here in Georgia. Unfortunately their insurance won't cover any of the transportation costs. My mother has been up there in a hotel for near
  4. I tried to get in to see Dr. Rosenbloom back in late 2008 and was passed off to one of the other doctors in his practice. They told me then that he wasn't accepting any new patients.
  5. I used Dr. William Bornstein at Emory. I really liked him.
  6. I had trouble with 106.7 while I was on I-20 inside the perimeter. I had to switch to something lower down on the dial and it was fine.
  7. Most likely, you are thinking of Charley McClain. She was popular during the late 70's & early 80's. She was/is a very pretty woman so I can see someone creating a doll in her image.
  8. Sorry, the only scary thing I watch is the evening news on channel 2.
  9. I love Lady & the Tramp and all of the Winnie the Pooh movies. When I was a kid, I liked Escape to Witch Mountain.
  10. So sorry, I saw the red, white & blue paint and knew that DL has those colors. Didn't know AirTran did also.
  11. I think that he works for Delta. The airplane in his picture looks like a Delta plane to me. And if it is, I worked for Delta for many years and I can't believe that HR would not do anything about it. I remember getting in trouble for far, far less.
  12. He sounds like an immature teenage boy with no respect for women. I hope there is a woman somewhere complaining to all the women in her office about how inept his stupid ass is in bed. You know what they say about people that feel the need to talk about sex so much....
  13. Thanks for the tip Mrs. G! I just got back from Food Lion where I stocked up on chicken breasts.
  14. Woot. I hate that word and it is entirely overused on Facebook. It's not really even a word is it?
  15. They'd get an earful about that from me. It's their job and they need to do the legwork. I'm sure it was more about public humiliation than really wanting to know if the car was in the driveway but I'd still tell them off. If my neighbors don't pay their bill the creditor should take it up with them and leave me out of it. When my husband and I got married, creditors called all the time for his ex-wife. I got tired of it so I gave them her new phone number and new address but she never answered when they called or responded to their letters so they continued to call my house looking for h
  16. Get better soon. Good wishes, hugs, love and prayers being sent your way.
  17. I'd rather not know. Just let me live my life like I always do instead of counting down the days.
  18. That's a Pittsburgh word! My husband would use that word and I would tell him that he lives in Georgia now and we don't talk like that! He also calls bologna "jumbo". They have their own language in Pittsburgh.
  19. Are they colored lights or are they all white?
  20. I've seen the same people on the street corners at I-20 and Boulevard for three years now. They work the exit ramps in shifts it seems and each one has their own "turf". One guy has a dog and while I don't give him any money, I used to carry dog food in the car for his little friend. I tend to believe the best of everybody and in the beginning would have probably given him all of my cash if he told me a hard luck story. My husband however is much more cynical and manages to help me see through the BS. Now I give to organizations that help the homeless instead.
  21. Bless their little hearts, what a wonderful story. I heard the man say that deer and geese can't communicate with each other but obviously they can somehow. There is an animal at the zoo that lost it's mate after being together for many, many years and you can tell that she is just lost without him. This goose is lucky that the deer came along and took over for her recently departed mate.
