I think that originally, Paulding did not want to be part of the Greater Atlanta Metro area. We're not included in the official region --- some things that others get from there, Paulding has to go to Rome. Now it's coming back to bite us. I thought that Sherin, may a road never be named after him, was part of the Regional Commission. Is Austin? The AJC does get delivered here.

What about the big factory type building on the Right, up the long driveway when you are driving south from 278? You can see it from Bill Carruth. They had construction trucks there for some time. Any idea what that will be?

The AJC has been running articles about movie studios in the Atlanta area and never mentions ours, even when something is shot in the area. Maybe they don't know and someone should send them a note to newstips@ajc.com Our publicity has been a little weak.

I've been seeing the new Xfinity ad on several stations. It features a turtle couple and a turtle child repeating the word FAST in place of the usual F-word that isn't allowed. Fxxx, What the Fxxx, Your Fxxxing kidding me, with the emphasis on the F-word. How long before your kiddies start repeating this?

Putting down a shed in the backyard and need a layer of cement put down to keep it level. Can you recommend someone in the area?

Sunday is grandparents day --- very appropriate.

For folks who work at Wellstar, this isn't a good deal. They have to switch to this and Wellstar is dropping insurance for spouses. For others, it might be.

If you see an Omlette Shoppe on the road, stop there. We discovered one while traveling and it was wonderful.

An optimist might not get there any faster, but he'll enjoy the trip more.

Absolutely --- I have a relative who starts complaining the minute she reaches Customer Service and wonders why she gets no results. I have always been friendly, patient and polite. I am amazed how often I get what I wanted and also, how many times lately I've gotten more than I deserved in return. I've gotten a major bank to allow me to reverse a large error I've made and another by polite-ing through a series of calls, correct one they actually made but didn't initially feel they should correct. There is always time to complain if you have to and I've done that too.

I still love and return to pcom each day, but patch (web address obvious), including the Dallas-Hiram one, has greatly improved, and I get their daily e-mail which often has useful info. They've just instituted a blog feature, where one can post to multiple sites all at once. Whenever I've had a problem lately, their folks have been most helpful. Even if you don't go to their site each day, and don't, you should at least sign up for the daily e-mail. Breaking News is also sent when it comes up.

Today's AJC says that Patch is laying off 500 folks, half it's staff, nationwide. I get daily e-mails from multiple Patch sites that I follow, but also come back here to check out the real scoop. I get useful info from both. Sad that this is happening.

Actually, it's not sold by Sears. If you look at the pic, it's sold by one of the re-sellers on Sears site. They let just about anybody list their stuff there, but, be careful, bought a filter for my fridge that damaged it and flooded our kitchen.

It happened to me in the US. Used a card out of state and they rejected the charge. Now, I call them before leaving.

Did you take the locks off of their doors yet??? Leave the knobs off entirely and they'll cover up the hole, or just turn them around so you can lock them in instead!!! Do you belong to a women's group at a church or synagogue. That's the best way to socialize. Or talk to a reverend, with or without the kids.

I think it's a mistake on Yellowpages website. http://www.yellowpages.com/hiram-ga/kmart They should have marked the Douglasville store closed. Have you gone by there. There should be a Going Out of Business Sale long before it closes.

Realize the club is in North Myrtle Beach when you book. Checked the places we stay and they all require a 2-night stay, so I can't be of any help there.
