  7. My brother-in-law is a big old car fan. He even did Demo Derby when he was younger and has belonged to a Car Club for many years. So, when he comes to visit next month, I want to include a visit to an Auto Museum. First, I found the barber museum , which looks cool, but then saw others in Alabama. Hw about the INTERNATIONAL MOTORSPORTS HALL OF FAME??? Anyone visit? What's your opinion?
  8. Since Harry's not a commerce member on pcom, you'll have to google Harry Stacy Strawberry Farm to find his webpage or find his Facebook Page.
  9. As per his FB post, Harry Stacy's Strawberry Farm in Hiram is open Wednesday for picking at 10am plus Thursday afternoon from 3-7pm.
  10. Since our 2.5 yo Grand-twins are visiting from up North and haven't been able to do much with all the rain, we went to Dallas' White Oak Park this afternoon. They had a great time, including running through puddles at the base of all the slides and even met a new 6 yo friend, who was nice enough to guide our granddaughter & grandson through the climbing areas. (Thank you Abby)

  13. Don't know if I would prefer Powder Springs over Hiram. Powder Springs, especially the folks who want the change, has pockets of poverty & crime. Hiram, not so much, except where the Trail from Powder Springs passes into Hiram.
  14. New Poem: RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY!!! Grandkids are here and they want to Play!!! Bad time for them to stay!!! Grandma's 70th birthday was Friday!!! Great to have them come this way!!! That's all I have to say!!!
  15. AJC STORY So, I live just outside of Hiram with a Douglasville Zip Code and heard this story on TV this morning. Powder Springs Residents wanting to go from a Hiram Zip Code to a Powder Springs Zip Code. I'd love a South Paulding Zip added, so delivery folks will stop calling form down there trying to find us. What's wrong with them having a Hiram Zip Code? Sequestration delays city ZIP code change Around 200 Cobb County residents with a Hiram zip code of 30141 in Paulding County will have to wait until July 1, 2014 for their zip code to change back to the 30127 of Powd
  16. My wife went to the session in a Wellstar building around the corner from Cobb Hospital.
  17. Considered that, but it was intended to attract attention. You opened it, so it worked!!!
  18. From the Neighbor & Patch: Drop Your Drugs at the Paulding Sheriff's Office The Council on Alcohol and Drugs and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office are launching a drug drop box campaign. Something new is now inside the lobby of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, and your law enforcement officials are hoping the “Big White Box” will take a big bite out of a major problem — the proper disposal of prescription (Rx) and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs that are out of date or not needed any more. Rx drug abuse among all age groups is currently being reported by law en
  19. The table shows that Douglas Hospital had no infections. Was surprised how good the service was there when I had my recent stay, and the food served the patients and in the cafeteria was terrific.

  23. My wife & I went to this class a few years back, over by Cobb Hospital. My wife had Pre-Diabetes and this class helped her from getting diabetes. She follows their meal plan religiously and it worked. I recommend anyone who might progress to diabetes in the future go AND BRING YOUR SPOUSE!!!
