If he is an anxious child, you may need to do a little more pre-bedtime calming. My son used to have full blown anxiety attacks between 5-6 years old. We had had several deaths in the family in a short period of time and it hit him hard. He thought he was having a heart attack like some of our family members had done. I was not a counselor then, but I was in school. I went to the counselor's office and was able to find some relaxation tapes geared for children that I could copy. Every night we would go into his room and play one of those relaxation tapes which helped him focus his mind o

Drive a Stick-Shift Hook up an Entertainment Center Fix a Toilet Navigate a Map and Use GPS Change the Oil Balance a Checkbook Cook the Perfect Steak Swim the Breaststroke Write Effectively Dress for the Occasion Sew a Button Do Laundry Properly Handle Roadside Emergencies Build a Fire He can drive a stick shift, but he does not have the patience to teach his wife how to. My DH cannot hook up an entertainment center, but he can program a machine to make the table and all the parts to hold it together. He gets to repair our toilet all the time. LOL! He can handle a map, but GPS? Not so muc

He's reaching that stage where you are the love of his life and he is jealous of anyone or anything that takes you away. And, he is challenging your authority right with it. He has learned that you WILL cave if he does it long enough. And you are learning to do what he wants if he screams long enough. So, you have a couple of issues to work on. He needs some one on one time with you. All our kids need this periodically, it's just his time. Work that out a little more than normal. Helping you cook or something else. Sit down and play trucks with him or some other game or activity h

The maximum is $330 per week even if you made lots more. Right now, most people are getting an extra $25 per week in a separate check for some reason. Don't know why, just glad to get it. As for the percentage if lower, not a clue.

At least she was polite about it! rofl!

Hooray! -
Interesting. I would want to know where the windows were in that other room though. Cool shot anyway. Especially since it was caught by a news crew.

Not currently working, but worked in Rome, which took about 45 minutes. Hoping to hear back from a couple of jobs. One in Villa Rica, which will also take about 40 minutes, and one in downtown where I will take the bus from Acworth if I get it because it would be at least an hour to work and who knows how long home! So, I'll vote from the previous job time (which equals about 30-35 miles one way).

How sad! I feel bad for the operator, and I am glad no one else was seriously hurt.

Yeah, we're total electric too. I've been encouraging my husband to put the pumphouse on a solar power backup. No electricity, no water. And if we could run the pump with solar power, our bill would drop a lot! We are on Cobb EMC, for those comparing services.
-
Our electricity normally runs about $220 a month, but we have well water, so that includes the pump for water. Not great, but it is the norm. We usually leave lights off and such, it is just the wiring and pump, I guess. This month it was about $270. We have window units, several of them, and we tend to use them a lot since I am home and the kids are out of college right now. I have found that if I get the house good and cool in the morning, then I can rotate them off and on through the day and keep the house comfortable. Most of the time, we have 2-4 of the 5 total air conditioners

They tend to have a big festival with food and crafts, but I haven't checked this year. Hubby and I went there for our first date on the 4th of July. 26 years later, I still see fireworks!

Probably not. Being a public park and all. Can't find anything saying for sure though. http://www.cityofcartersville.org/index.aspx?nid=22

You can go down 61 into Cartersville, turn right on 113/61, then at the redlight where McDonald's is turn right again. Go through the next light at the stop sign turn left, and THERE you are. OR, from 61, you can turn on Old Alabama right before the airport and at the red light turn left, then turn right at the stop sign. Either way works, but Old Alabama will save you a little traffic (on most days anyway!).

Usually they have fireworks at Dellinger Park. It is not too far from the Cartersville airport.

I went to school with the mayor of Kennesaw and his wife. They were always great people. And Mark was HOT! LOL!

Well, Dublin, GA is a good trap. On the way to Savannah. Speeding is a $400 ticket. PsychoDaughter found out. She went to court because the officer pulled over 2 people on one radar shot. She was going to contest it. We get to court only to be told they will schedule another court date where the judge will add $50 to the fine but drop the points. She plead NoLo and got no points anyway. In North Carolina, my son was driving the car on the way to our vacation. Speed dropped from 70 to 55 and the cop was right over the hill with a radar gun. True, we missed the sign because we were

I'm so sorry. Welcome to the club. A lot of us are there. Look at CareerBuilder and HotJobs. They list a lot.

We use Verizon. Something I have noticed is that the coverage depends on the phone as much as the service. Some phones just work better. My daughter drops calls all the time on her chocolate. I do sometimes on my en-v. My husband has a g-zone and rarely drops calls. The good thing about Verizon is the new plan to add 10 numbers out of the network that are free to call and receive calls from. All Verizon calls are free. You can get unlimited texts, which can be helpful. They have an unlimited plan on calls, but I think it is a little pricey. The minutes on plans are generous thoug

Cell Phone Numbers will be released to the Public?
PsychoMom replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I am on the list, but they are still calling my house. Actually, it just recently increased in volume. An economy issue I guess. As for cell phones, I listed mine years ago as a precaution against being harassed. Also, A lot of people use them for home phone numbers, which means they write it down when someone asks for their home number. And apparently, if you call a business, you revoke the 'Do Not Call' status for 6 months. -
Took my family out to see a movie. Tickets alone cost $42. Then a small drink was $3.95. It adds up quickly. We were going to see a 3D movie, but skipped it because of the extra cost. I think they should charge $2=$3 for the glasses. If you have your own, then you don't pay the extra. I would buy them and keep them for movies then.

I suggested renewing our vows. DH wanted to know when the old ones expired. Congrats to you both!

So sad. Prayers for his family.

She called and they told her to come pay the ticket and they would give her a letter to get her license reinstated. No bench warrant issued. Woo Hoo!
