  1. Scared me! My husband and son are climbing on those things today. 20yo and 43yo. Same general area, but not them. I hope the 2 injured are going to be okay.
  2. Beautiful ceremony. Thank you Clark's Funeral Home. And thank you to the members of High Shoals Baptist Church and other friends. You are wonderful people.
  3. Yesterday, my husband's grandmother fell while visiting the cemetery and hit her head. A few hours later, she lost consciousness and became nonresponsive. She was life-flighted to Emory. The damage was severe. She was placed on a respirator until she could be moved into a room where the family could be with her. At 4:42 this morning, we lost her. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. She was visiting her daughter's grave to see the flowers placed there for her birthday. My husband's aunt's birthday would have been 9/23. We lost her to cancer July of last year. And today i
  4. Please don't hijack this thread. Plenty of other vaccination threads. We all have differing opnions on that. Save this thread for sending thoughts and prayers to the families of these children. And be careful about rumors. It could have been a million other things that caused this.
  5. I haven't worked there since 2003, but I don't think so.
  6. I worked with Mindi at Moses. My heart goes out to her. Prayers for all the family.
  7. Thoughts and prayers for his family.
  8. The name is ringing bells in my head. Prayers to the family. Once we have more information, I will know where I know her from.
  9. NOVEMBER! And the baby is crying? That alone is an amazing sign. Surely they were wrong about the due date.
  10. Not surprising if she was already in full blown psychosis. Plus, we don't know about any mental health history or her drug use either.
  11. Thoughts and prayers to this family and those touched by this child.
  12. I'm not working tonight! Seriously though, I hope they get this person to the hospital quickly for an evaluation.
  13. I wish my daughter was at home tonight. These always put me on edge.
  14. Sorry. I wasn't jumping on anyone. The therapist jumped out of me when I saw this thread. I was talking about reading that people who threaten aren't serious. Thinking that they don't tell if they are serious. A lot of people die because someone thought that since they made the threat, they wouldn't go through with it. It is really hard on those who ignored the warning.
  15. Not true. Usually they have told over and over about how bad they feel. Sometimes they don't tell, but usually it has been going on for a long while, and maybe several minor attempts building up to the biggie. You hear a threat, it isn't just for attention. It is a cry for help, and they need to get it. Don't take a chance on minimizing it and having to live with the "what ifs".
  16. I see these people way too often. I hope she gets the help she needs.
  17. I should, but I am not wanting to get out and open the gate and then close it just to drive down the road and be told to move along. And then do it all in reverse (not literally, but you know what I mean!).
  18. Last 10 minutes, SUV with siren flew past, then police car flew past, then an ambulance flew past, hearing sirens coming now. They are all a few minutes apart. Still waiting on what the next one is. It is a Firetruck. I should not be sitting on my front porch! But it is calming down some.
  19. I am between Harmony Grove Church Rd and Dripping Rock Trail. About 1/2 between. Thunder, lightning, and freaking out dogs!!! I would be fine if the dogs would calm down.
  20. I would laugh until I cried every time I watched the show, no matter how many times I had seen it. Remember "Went With the Wind"?
