  1. On business 6, like almost across from Clark's funeral home. I think it's at the corner of Hiram Dr & Business 6. Pirate Printing is on Bill Carruth Pkwy btwn Hiram Sudie and Nebo Rd. 20-25
  2. The HJH Fall Festival will be on October 31 starting at noon. There will be LOTS for the kiddos to do on that day. Also, EVERY Saturday this month, we have 4H Horse & Pony Rides starting at 12 and going til ???, and a pumpkin patch that's open all weekend! That's all in addition to the haunted hayride going on every Thurs, Fri, & Sat night in October, as LPPT posted above.
  3. Yep, park at Panter, and there will be a bus waiting to bring you over!! They will have a blast! Can't wait to see you (tell me who you are when you come through the ticket window)!!
  4. That's awesome, SoapMom! If ghoulish children scare you, there's one scene in the Hayride that would realllly freak you out! Here's a sneak peek at what we've got going on.... (no picks of the scary kids, though...sorry) http://www.hauntedjunkyard.net/Photo_Galley.html
  5. Remember, if you go by CJ & Associate Insurance or Pirate Printing and pick up a t-shirt, you get $3 off an adult ticket tonight (and any other Thursday night)!! And at the suggestion of DAW, we are going to offer a discount if you want to come back more than once. Just bring your torn ticket stub back ANY night that we're open (not just Thursday), and you'll get $3 off an adult ticket!
  6. My husband (who is only 39) is scheduled for total hip replacement on November 4th, and we can't wait. He has lived with this pain for YEARS, and recently it's been almost unbearable. I hope that your treatments work for you, and I am sooo sorry for those that are suffering from chronic pain. You are all in my prayers.
  7. Just FYI, some homeowners policies have a credit card forgery benefit on them (usually like $1000).
  8. Both. Target had some knock off 18" dolls a couple of years ago that were like $20, and that's what my daughter got when she went through her American Girl phase.
  9. I just get 2 Pillsbury pie crusts and line the bottom of a Corningware bowl with one, dump in 2 cans of cream of chicken soup, mushrooms, green peas, corn, carrots (you can pick your own veggies, and I use canned or frozen), and either canned chicken or rotisserie chicken picked off the bone (that's best), salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cover the top with the other crust. Bake til brown. It's easy and good. That sounds good, too! Thanks! I was wondering where the recipe was on your other post!
  10. Me, too...all of the above, especially Stepmom & Steel Magnolias! Beaches, I Am Sam, and I know there's more.
  11. Recipe? My family loves cubed steak but it's such a pain to fry during the week.
  12. I agree with all of the above!! I just found some old Reader's Digest condensed books at a yard sale for a quarter each, took the paper covers off of them, and mixed and matched them on a shelf with some other old books I had. I looooove going to yard sales, especially old people yard sales, because there's no telling what kind of cool junk you'll find for cheap, cheap cheap. I also love Old Time Pottery...that's cheap new stuff.
  13. Candyman (the bees...eek!) Pet Semetary (Zelda & Church... )
  14. So, come to the Fall Festival at the Haunted Junkyard Hayride on Halloween. My kids are glad, because now they can do both!
  15. Green peanuts are best, IMO, but you can use the "raw" ones. I think those take longer. My husband likes to do them with the raw ones, but like I said, I think the green ones make the best ones!!
  16. Hey Zion, the correct pronunciation in GA is BAWLED peanuts... I love them when they are half done and still a lil crunchy!! Hope they turn out to be a good fundraiser for ya!
  17. Yep, mine is twisted up in a clip today. Wasn't about to try to do anything with it. It's MONDAY on top of the fact that it's raining. I didn't do that either.
  18. Check out the prices of haunted houses around Atlanta. I think you will find that this one is within range. Sounds like AL has some cheap prices...I've not heard of one around here that inexpensive. And as MeWhoElse said, a portion of the proceeds benefits the Meth Alliance, which is not the case at most of them. Hope you can come! I don't think you'll be disappointed. I heard lots of good things from the people who rode it this weekend...
  19. QUOTE (missy b @ Oct 2 2009, 02:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sad to say but MORE families are TORN apart by meth every year every day.......GREAT JOB BEING CLEAN FOR 3 YEARS... I will be there Sat night to support u and this cause...... Yes, meth is a devastating drug. But there is hope, through recovery and education. Jason falls into the "recovery" part (he LOVES to share his experience, strength, and hope with another addict) and Meth Alliance falls into the "education" part. The more people know about this drug, and how addictive and vicious it is, the less chance they have of
  20. Jason hopes to give between $10,000 and $30,000 to the Meth Alliance, depending on how well the hayride does. (I don't know the exact percentage because I haven't read the contract , but that's the number I keep hearing him say.) He is a recovering crystal meth addict with going on 3 years clean, and this is something he is very passionate about. He didn't have to give ANYTHING to the Meth Alliance, but in recovery he's learned that you have to "give it back to keep it".
