I'll never understand why people give greater weight to the opinion of someone who's only real ability is to promote themselves while in front of a camera.

New unit is installed and running under the old software and settings, hasn't dropped signal once which to me confirms it was a hardware problem. Only difference is I'm out the shipping costs, about 4-5 hours of my time not to mention the aggravation of having to deal with this issue and their warranty process. They choose to do business that way, I choose not to do business again with them. Nor my company nor my wife's company...

First off comparing a car with it's multiple components to a solid state, single component router is a stretch. But to use your example, if I bought a new water pump there would be what's called a core charge at the time of purchase of the new unit that's equal to the value of the core of the old unit. If I bring the old unit back I get the value of the core, they don't charge what it costs for an entire new working unit. Secondly, it clearly states on their webpage that the warranty on a new unit is one year (90 days on a refurbished unit), they don't even value their rebuilt units as muc

Different state laws may apply. For many lenders, once a certain loan value is exceeded, different assessments will be required to guard against loss and to fulfill all appropriate inquiry as part of their due diligence. It differs from loan institution to loan institution as each defines their own level of liability. I do all kinds of property assessments, inspections, surveys and that includes Phase I, IIs, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, etc. and I can count on one hand the number of times I've been involved with a real estate transaction that involved a residence valued at under $750,0

Radon is a byproduct of the degradation of underlying rock, typically granite, and most of North Georgia is categorized as having a moderate risk for elevated levels of radon. (Stone Mountain is solid granite.) It moves through the soil and collects in structures, the tighter the structure the greater the risk for measured levels of radon. Remediation is simple, an exhaust fan is installed to ventilate the footprint of the structure. Home supply stores do have test kits.

I don't care for pickled beets, takes me back to school days when they would slop those purple things on your tray....Otherwise, whatcha got?

First trick to selling popcorn is to pre-pop a lot of it and get that smell in the air. Some office buildings won't let popcorn be sold in their vending machines or popped in their microwaves because once the smell gets on the floor or in the elevator, work stops as people head for their own bag. It's possible you got one of these bags that had been sitting.

But I believe you're arguing my point, I'm not the head of some conspiracy to defraud a billion dollar corporation, I'm just a customer who, according to them, got a bad unit. Stop treating your customers like they're all scammers or criminals. And I don't care if it's a $100 or fifty cents, if it's my money I'll argue the point.

Move out of the earthquake zone. -
I can almost guaranty that the replacement unit will be refurbished, that's why they want the bad one back so they can limit their loss after producing a substandard unit. That's also why they don't want you going back to the store, new vs refurbished costs. But again that's their business, not mine, at this point their mission should be to satisfy the customer, period. My wife got a refurbished Motorola cell phone as a replacement under her warranty and it's crap, doesn't keep a charge, locks up and has other issues. I firmly believe that as a consumer I have the right to rant about any p

My wife does a green bean/bacon wrap then pours a mixture of brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and some other stuff on top... Yum!

I read several online complaints about my old Cisco unit getting excessively hot although I never had a problem with it and it was mounted in the garage (which gets real hot). It's now installed at my office and still works fine despite it's temp. No cooling fan on either unit and the one at the house doesn't appear dusty or dust covered. During the live chat they almost immediately said it was a hardware issue which leads me to believe that they know there is a problem with these units. She had me uncheck "Filter anonymous internet requests" under security settings and that might let them pin

Ah, they required me to put up over $100 to make the exchange work. There's a bunch of things that could go wrong here, something lost in shipping(happens all the time), something miss delivered (it happened not but 3 months ago with something I ordered), I could get sent out of town on work (happens all the time), family sickness, etc. I bought in good faith and my money was good, they advertised a good product and it, for what ever reason, turned out to be faulty. OK, stand by your product and either let me exchange it at the store (Oh no, you get that slip in the box that says "Do not retur

I didn't say it was out of warranty and neither did they, in fact it comes with a one year warranty. The box it came in also says the unit comes with award winning 24/7 customer support, that's what they were saying they usually charge for but it doesn't say that on the box. I understand in any manufacturing process there is an acceptable margin of error and a percentage of units will get through QC and fail. All I'm saying is stand by your product and don't place requirements on your customer to make them happy.

About 7 months ago I decided to change out an old router for something that could handle todays volume so I bought an E2500 Linksys router at Sams Club. It worked well for 5 months but then began to drop signal. I tried several things including the router location, changing channels, MTU settings, and other suggestions I found on line but nothing worked. So this morning I went on the Linksys live chat and spent over an hour and a half with one of their reps who stated that my unit was out of the service window and they usually have a fee but they were willing to wave that since it appeared to

I worked Ancestry.com for several months earlier this year, just my opinions: The census records give some of the best information but they don't have census records after 1940 so rely on family for those connections. Prior to say 1840 the census is just a tally, it has the head of household and then how many in the house ages 1-5 male, female, 6-10 male and so on. When you look at overseas records the language changes and that becomes difficult. You will at some point have to make some assumptions, just make them as logical as possible, what you find isn't written in stone and is subject to c

I've greased the door frames so the kids can't get a grip on the way out and bought ear plugs for myself, bus comes at a quarter after Thursday morning and I don't want to hear any excuses. Chill'ns haven't seen 6:30 AM all summer.

First a law suit such as this would have to prove that Martin threw the first punch, and second, that if he did throw the first punch it wasn't out of fear of Zimmerman who had been following him.

From a biker forum this morning: "Judging a person does not define who they are, it defines who YOU are." I think that also applies to the name callers, cyber-bullies, and other socially dysfunctional posters that seem to have proliferated this forum recently. Geez, there was one thread that started with what appeared to be a valid question, someone replied and the original poster declared that person was unqualified to give a response and they (the original poster) had life long experience and that they were an expert. If you know it all, why even ask the question?

He came through a short cut (either because that's the commonly used way by people walking or because the front gates were locked and he didn't have the code) and that's why he was in someone's yard. I don't think that's consistent with someone who's "about to commit a crime". Right now as I type I've got a sledge hammer, crowbar and bolt cutters in my car (burglary tools) is that consistent with someone that's about to commit a crime too? Look, I don't deny somebody's right to call the police if they're suspicious of someone, I've done it my self. But that's all it warrants. GZ even says

It's dark, raining, an unlit cut-through and you suspect an armed, drugged criminal just ran down there and you don't know where he is (remember George didn't want to give his address because he feared the guy would hear him). Only an idiot would leave the safety of his truck (knowing the police were on the way) to run after the guy. Unless of course you had a gun placed firmly in your hand....
-
So someone walking along talking on a cell phone and looking around is consistent with suspicious behavior? Sure must keep the police busy. I watched a news report from a local Florida station that aired not long after the shooting and during the news report several people, which looked like kids, were walking between the same two buildings that TM walked between, the reported stated that it was a common practice. So what was consistent with someone preparing to commit a criminal act?
-
If GZ would have waited for the police and they questioned TM this would have been a non-event because no crime had been committed, GZ didn't witness a crime, TM didn't have stolen merchandise on him, he didn't have burglary tools (that screw driver that was in his backpack at school), nobody reported that someone broke into their house, the police would probably have explained to GZ that it was just a kid staying in a house down the street and that would have been that.

Does Paulding County really need an Ampitheater?

Cost is estimated at $2 million, which will be paid with recreation funds in the 2011 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. I thought when a SPLOST was proposed it had to outline exactly what the money was for and how dollars are to be spent? "Recreation Fund" sure sounds wide open and ripe for the pickins for special projects and "what-not". (I've never voted yes on one of these because of the potential for the politicians to line their pockets yet people keep voting to increase their own taxes). -
I heard about this case, it was on at least one local news station. But like all TV news stories where a crime was committed, a death occurred, suspects were identified and they were arrested, that's the end of it. You rarely hear any follow up or about the outcome of the trial or plea bargain.
