I have a lot to say on this topic and about what women should and should not be allowed to do...but my wife said I couldn't. -
POLL ON $100 LIMIT ON LOBBYIST GIFTS
cookies are sweet replied to Mason Rountree's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I have Falcons season tickets and have had them for over 30 years. My seats cost me $6,000.00 for the upcoming season. If I have to pay to go to the games, then someone who works for ME, should DAM well pay for their own tickets. It is real simple; no gifts, no questions on wheither or not they are being bought. -
Voted.

I am on the "do not call" list, so I either let them listen to the TV or try and get them to join my "church" of the "one true way". After my constaint "talk" of trying to get them to become a "true beliver" they hang up.

My favorite comment about this new restaurant was from "momof3" who said; "I like my mexican restuarants to be within stumbling distance of home". Funny, funny, funny.

I'm confused, are we getting a chicken sandwich or not? -
No problem. Never notice if there is a + or - either way, doesn't affect my life one way or the other.

Yep. Figured it was somewhere in Fl with a lot of snow birds. Bet they were wearing black socks and shorts also.

Let's talk about wasteful and extravagant spending
cookies are sweet replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
OK folks, this is very simple. If I like what the money is being spent for and it benefits me, then it is neither wasteful nor extravagant, no matter what it is. If it does not benefit me and I do not like or agree with how the money is being spent, then it is most certainly wastful and extravagant and those who voted for it should have bamboo shoots driven under their nails, be shot, drawn & quarted, boiled in oil and shipped to Detroit. But then that is just the kind of person I am, always thinking of others. -

Sadly, I don't think people are intimidated by me, with or without a gun. As an over-weight, old, balding guy who is 5'9" (on my best day); I no longer intimidate nor attract like I used to when I was young. Heck even my 14yr old cat ignores me now when I am yelling at her. Ahhhh....those were the days my friends, we thought they would never end.... -
I live near Poole Bridge School, is that you I hear shooting sometimes? No complaint, just wondering.

Many years ago I managed retail stores in Atlanta and the surrounding area. I was held up by a gun toting robber. Due to the way this robbery unfolded, if I had a weapon on me at that time there is no way I would have ever "gone for" my gun. The way to handle that situation was to give the man what he wanted and let him leave. All drawing a gun, if I had one, in this case is get me and maybe others hurt or killed. As you said, every situation is different and drawing a weapon is not always the best answer. I am one who believes in the old saying, it is better to have and not need tha -

I tried to attach a link earlier in this thread, but failed. The link was about a shooting in Aurora, Colorado, no not that one. This shooting did not receive national air play. It took place earlier this year in a church. A recently released felon came into a church and started shooting. He killed one parishioner but before he could shoot anyone one else, the felon was shot and killed by an off duty officer who was carrying a handgun in church. Of course, everyone will say but he was LE, but to my mind if I was in that church that day, I am not asking to see any badge if someone is shoo -

Nope, I am out of town and will not be meeting with Mr, Crowe. But as I said, in the interest of being fair I felt I should say that Mr. Crowe did call me. We did not discuss a lot about politics (my choice) and except for a select few, I wish those who put their hats in the ring well. (of course I wish harder for some than others) -
