A while back the wife and I were visiting with an dear friend of mine who has known me since I was 14. I made the comment that I don't have much patience in my old age. My friend replied, "You didn't have much patience in your young age either." So my reply to you is, what do you mean "getting"?

I have no problem with that. The announcements are perfectly fine. They are directed at everyone and I presume they are done in a polite, professional manner. What I do have a problem with is some runt yelling, "Twenty minutes!" at me when I walk in the door. While I can be a cranky son of a biscuit, I wouldn't have had a problem with him saying, but not in loud voice like he did, something along the line of, "Sir, just wanted to remind you that we close in 20 minutes at 12am." But to just say abruptly in a loud voice, like I was a child being reminded of my bedtime, "Twenty minutes!",

Cake and ice cream was gooooood. Cake gone, ice cream 1/2 gone. The dogs and cats must have gotten into them.

If they are not here legally, wrap em up and ship em out. That simple.

Food Depot has the same policy, my son works there and he asked me what we did in the olden days. I told him we let the saber tooth tigers loose, that always hurried them up. I didn't screw around for two reasons, one I wanted to get started on my ice cream and cheese cake, two the wife could wake up and spoil my party.

One trick we did was to cut a few light off about 30 minutes after we closed, that usually reminded them, but not always. OR you can just say "20 minutes!", when they walk in.

Just for the record, I started typing this at 12:53am, that was after I unpacked my laptop and booted it up. (I was traveling last week and didn't get home till 3am Sat) After having to go to Vegas and work a trade show and only getting around 7-8 hours sleep from Tuesday morning till 4am Saturday morning, I slept a great part of the day Saturday. I found my self awake tonight (this morning) and craving something sweet. Since the wife looks out for me and since she and the doc seem to think I am diabetic, there was nothing sweet in the house. Well, there I am, the wife asleep and me wan

I have said it before and I will say it again. My father had the best line when it came to the food in restaurants. When someone would ask him if the food was good at a certain place, he always said; "It is if you like it."

Cook?? What's that? My wife is a great cook. Once maybe 8 years ago when we were dating, she made me corn beef and cabbage. Wow! Was it good! She has made it once since then, and that was because of her son's birthday. She suckered me in and once she had me hooked, she no longer cooks for me. I am ashamed to tell people that my wife will do it for strangers at work or at special events, but I have to go out and pay someone to do it for me. And don't you listen to her talking about how I used to do stuff for her when we were dating that I no longer do, that is just her deflec

The original cabin is now the Smyrna museum, located on Atlanta Rd next to the railroad tracks where GB's hamburger joint used to be. There is another one, GB's. Great hamburgers, the 1st pinball machine I ever played and a train every now and then that shook the building.
