I don't understand the problem here. I have always had a gun in my vehicle or on me while at the lake (although I don't go much anymore) since the late 70's. Never had anyone ask me if I had one and I never found a reason to display it or tell anyone. It is sorta like being gay in the military, don't ask, don't tell.
