  1. I don't need a test to know which movie I am, I'm Swamp Water.
  2. I was planning to after he had a chance to get up and moving. I hope all is goes ok with your dad. Please keep us updated on that also.
  3. Thank you for the updates. I know you Mrs.Surepip are close and the rest of us who know them in person or on here appreciate the information. Please tell them that they are in the wife and my thoughts and prayers and that I promise to return the fancy bowl/dish I still have. (it's not really a fancy bowl/dish, it just has a fancy name, but I don't remember what it is)
  4. I like crime stories. And this one was big news, plus the SNL skit and the Playboy rhyme helped me remember it. Especially the Playboy rhyme, I have no idea why that stuck in my head, but it did. I sometimes find myself saying to myself when I am driving.
  5. I thought they did several skits, but I guess it was just one skit shooting several skiers. It was hilarious. She killed him, no accident. Four things got her off easy: 1. Money - expensive attorney 2. Fame - hers and more importantly, Andy Williams who stood by her 3. The cops screwed up the investigation (I can't remember the details, but I remember they did screw it up somehow) 4. It happened in CO, where they are easy on murderers
  6. I think part of that may be the settlement with Savage's family. They sued her. I can't remember all of it, but I know that one of the major parts was that she couldn't write a book, make a movie or I think, even tell her story. I remember she got like 30-60 days in jail, but she could do that time whenever she wanted, no set days. Saturday Night Live did several skits at the time about her shooting skiers.
  7. I welcome any dumb comments by either party. This shouldn't be hard. Here's a hint; Guam tipping over.
  8. In fact, the Rolling Stones wrote a song about it. (but she only shot him once, not three times, once was enough)
  9. Let me tell you, that movie played at the Belmont theater in Smyrna for the whole summer of 1970. It was a great date movie and that line was guaranteed action of some type.
  10. Ask your hubby, I'm sure he does. (although if he is smart, and not like me, he will not admit it)
  11. Not only do I remember it. I remember the poem that Playboy had in one of it's issues at the time. There once was a woman named Longet Who went to Aspen to play Along came a Spider Who sat down beside her And she blew the poor f***** away See I did read the magazine and not just look at the pictures. Her name was Claudine Longet (pronounced Lonjay)
  12. Ummmm, not so much my wife. (she has trouble even with a GPS)
  13. There is a great mexican restaurant in D'ville. Taqueria Jalisco (www.taqueria-jalisco.com), we think it is the best Mexican place around, it is in the Kroger shopping center at the corner of Hwy 92 and Hospital Dr. The wife is from CO and she out of any place around Paulding county, it is the closest to the mexican style food she ate out west. Back when I first started eating there, not long after they opened, I was usually the only gringo in the place. They have expanded and now have a very mixed clientele.
  14. I understand your point, but when cities and counties are making land deals, deals with elected officials that can change from election to election, an "understanding" is not enough. It has to be in writing. As Dragline said in the movie Cool Hand Luke; "When it comes to the law, nothin is understood."
