In the 8 years I have lived in Georgia I have scoffed at the carzy taxes we pay in this state. Sorry, but the car/ad valorem tax, property tax, income tax, etc is crazy. Where does this money go?? My husband and I pay nearly $500 a year to renew our tags. In Tennesse it's a whopping $25 a car. There is also no state income tax. Property tax is also WAY lower. My grandma's tax bill was $700.00 in Hamilton County. She lives on a acre. That is half of mine, and I live on 1/8 of an acre. Yet, I never see the issues up there that we have in Georgia.
