  1. One of the rare occasions you and I agree on something political.
  2. LOL Y'all, I never had an icecream man when I was growing up. We had the icee man though, who drove a pickup and had a row of the syrup on the back of the truck and a chest of pellet ice. Yum, those were good! rainbow and blueberry was my fav. Yum. I wish we had an icee man now. Anyhoo, the icecream man that rolls thru my 'hood creeps me out. He drives a beat up white van with faded stickers with pics of different icecreams. He also blares Christmas songs. Creep-py! His stickers should just say PEDOPHILE across the van becuase that is what he looks like.
  3. Oh, I totally understand your point I was just really curious as to what WIC covers. I had always assumend it didn't cover veggies, that it was mostly dairy products. I was just wonderin'
  4. Yeah, I am kind of like that. Laundry is seperated and washed in this order: dark clothes (sometimes w/jeans), light clothes w/hubs' work khakis, towels and randam items of crap that fell out of the basket on the way to the washer or MrB's socks I uncover in the bedsheets. MrB is so tall that none of his pants can go directly in the dryer. The legs will tangel around each other and they come out all wound around each other. So, his pants are slung over the laundry closet door to halfway dry. After the clothes are done, I will toss a couple of pairs of pants in the dryer with a damp washcloth a
  5. My mom always hot glued my patches on my girl scout sashes and vest. They never fell off.
  6. The hubs deals with G&C a lot. They are legit and fair.I think they will pay out more than Criterion, but they are good to do business with also. It is probably worth the drive to G&C to sell.
  7. LOL. Yes, those, too. That is what I thought WIC covered - the very basic stuff. Does it cover veggies, too?
  8. I prolly will just get it plain and add my own light butter. Just 'cause I want it doesn't mean I should it it. But, my favorite part of the potato is the skin anyway. Yummm. Hey... that's right. I thought WIC was only for things such as milk, juice, and baby formulas.
  9. Great. Now I want a baked potato for lunch. And don't think I won't get it without butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon bits. Edited: b/c I can't spell.

    your job

I doin't think she meant her "rant" to you in particular, but she just chose your statement as an example. I don't have kids yet, but even so I understand where she is coming from. I didn't read her statement to be anything more than just a general statement of her experience.
  11. There are just two of us, so just once a week, usually Sunday so I can watch football and fold.
  12. Oh no. I had been hearing sirens that sounded like they were getting closer then stopping... I just had no idea how close. Prayers for those involved.

  15. 5% of them carry leprosy, but humans are immune to it. You will not catch anything from an armadillo. I looked it up: https://www.msu.edu/~nixonjos/armadillo/faq.html#04

  17. If she is 21 I wouldn't worry about it. She's an adult. I lived in my own apartment and paid all my bills all by myself at that age. I think she can handle it
