  1. That is so awesome. It brought tears to my eyes. Please tell your son thank you for his service. And thanks for raising such an upstanding man. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you!

    DD did it!

Agreed. I have a 19 year old cousin that is soooooooo drama. And she creates it herself. Her posts usually go, "I luv my baby soo much; he iss evertig to me. I cant waitt 2 C him tnite!" - OR - "Why peple gota b hatinn? I luv my baby and he iz tha worl to mee! Yall juss jelus". I can't NOT look. OMG. It is better than Days of Our Lives. The comments back from the boyfriend she had last month and was going to marry usually comments and that's where the "hatin'" ensues.
  3. ^+5 Subby, MRNN is right. This is very good advice. I am not an accountant, and I do not work for an atty, but I know this is the best way to go. $10K is small peanuts in the grand scheme of things, and its better to NOT ruin your credit over it. You are looking at sky high interst rates on the loans and CCs you can get, and it lasts for years. You should really look into this. Here is a link to one of his books - it is 7 steps to get out of debt: http://www.daveramsey.com/store/Books/dave-s-bestsellers/the-total-money-makeover/prod326.html He isn't a scam; personally I think he's one
  4. Bath & Body Works is having a good sale. Their hand soap is 50%, so it's $2.50. Their old scents are back for a limited time, 3 for $10. Also, their gift sets were marked down and there were bins and bins of stuff. This was yesterday and I was in a huge hurry so I didn't see what all was in the bins. Oh, and Bare Escentuals has some good deals right now, too.
  5. Meant to say, unless I have seen it before, I can't start a movie from the middle. The only movies I will watch over and over are Steel Magnolias, Terms of Endearment, Sixteen Candles and any other John Hughes film, and the Goonies. Total girl.
  6. Yes. Yes he does. If the following movies are on, my husband will be watching it for the 1,256,859th time: Goodfellas Scarface Donny Brasco Casino The Godfathers (all) Once Upon A Time in America Any Chevy Chase movie (esp. the Vacation movies) So I Married An Ax Murderer. ETA: Sopranos (not a movie, but on A&E. And he has all seasons on DVD, so a lot of times a DVD is in) Do you see a pattern? If I ever go missing, look for me in the ocean. I'll be wearing the cement boots.
  7. We bought it. It was only $29.95 plus shipping. Best $35 bucks we ever spent. I will pm you the link. awwwwww So sweet!! I got engaged on Dec. 23rd 2005 I think Christmas time is a great time to get engaged. Congrats to you!!
  8. What is your minimum purchase amount for debit cards? I keep meaning to ask - I never carry cash anymore.
  9. I want to see this. I saw the previews when I went with NC-17 and Jenilyn and a random 3 year old and a blind date to see a movie several months ago. It was a scary one. What the heck was the name?
  10. IDK. The fact I have an iPhone is silly. I have hardly any apps. I use my phone to browse the internet and read the news. Why are you up? Shouldn't you be in bed with a hangover? LOL Come on! I am trying to live vicariously through you!
  11. ^Same here. I usually end up at Ruby Tuesday for an overpriced one when I really want a salad.
  12. Everyone is saying that now, lol. I think it's b/c I am so stinkin' huge. I am already waddling, I find out Jan. 10th. I can't wait either!!! Yes, sorry to the OP for the hijack
  13. I was afraid of that, too, but it is really easy to use. It takes just a minute to find it, but when you do it is as clear as, if not clearer, than the one at the dr.'s office. We have discovered the baby doesn't like to be poked, You have to kind of push a little, and the baby will move away from it after a minute or so. It goes to the other side of my stomach or completly to the back. You can hear the heartbeat fade away and back in as it moves around. So cool
  14. Ur nuts. Where were you? And do you mean a pitcher of el vino, or just a picture of it? lol
  15. MrB got me a Flip camera. Those are the neatest things! I love it! And he got me a fetal heart monitor, by far my fav gift. I have gotten to listen to the baby's heart beat and movements everynight before bed since last Thursday. And, my cousin gave me a painting that she did. It is amazing. Very folky, and of a Catrina. On the back she included some quotes and notes of things that are between us. Example: When she was a freshman in high school I gave her my old worn copy of Sylvia Plath poems, with "The Colossus" dogeared. She quoted an excerpt of the poem on the painting, and another on
  16. Oh, that is pretty much homemade! lol I wish I had of done that. That soup was NOT good. It was okay, and filled us up, but I won't fix it again. Blah. It got ged to the animals in the woods last night. Oh, trust me. I have been heeding that advice as much as possible. I have made sleeping and laying around a top priority No, really, though, I am so tired all the time it really is all the energy I have. I get about two hours worth of "real" energy then I am pooped. And "turrible" makes me giggle. I told everyone to have a "Murry Christmas" or, "Murry Christmas, ever-body." lol
  17. And you didn't even have to make it yourself Glad you had a good day! I went and got all my wrapping paper and ribbons for next year (woohoo), and spent a little Christmas money on myself. Came home and climbed back in bed in between loads of laundry. It was a good day, and it actually seemed like a long day for a Sunday.
  18. Roads are fine. I was out since 10:30 this morning. I've been all over Hiram and then to the Target on 120 & Barrett. Everything is fine.
  19. I've got some vegetable beef soup in the crock pot. It's a mix thingy, not home made, so we'll see how it is. I am so tired from all that laying around I did yesterday.
