Has anyone heard anything else about this?

Learn to accept people for who they are and not expect everyone to be the same, have the same interests, choices and goals. Not be critical of others.

I went for a quick walk and was enjoying the beautiful weather and the beautiful clear blue sky and then I came home and read that. It took the joy out of the day for me. How horrible it must be for her parents.

For those who remember, a blast from the past.

The first thing I read on my laptop today was a story on WSBTV.com about an eight year old girl found hanging in her room, a suspected suicide. How sad.

I found a bag full of old film that needs to be developed also - not quite as old as yours. I'm sure you have already asked any local photographers if they can help.

I know I am naive when it comes to these things but I keep thinking that all of these people making these decisions have families, children, grandchildren. Are they really going to do something that will jeopardize their futures? I know I may sound a little juvenile but I keep telling myself that President Obama is not going to make a decision that will endanger his children and the rest of this country. Am I living in a fairy-tale world?

Yes, she did a really good job on that song.

Saved the tax payers money - but I agree. I wonder if he actually did it to himself though.

The song that was playing in my head the past few days as August was winding down was See You In September. That's more of a beginning of summer song and a really old song.

Kay-Rogers NOT doubling coupons after Sept 22.......

They told me that the coupons they send in the mail are geared towards what you purchase. I get free ones for the bottled water and others for items that I usually buy. -

Happy belated birthday!! May the next 50 be as great as the first 50. Glad you had a great day! -
Two years ago we moved into my mil's house after she passed. I really would like to get rid of as much stuff as possible because I don't want my kids to have to go through my stuff like we did with hers, however I just have not had the energy. My husband is always wanting more guitars, etc. but I just want to have as little as possible. I'm not into things.

Someone mentioned The Good Earth already. I loved going to the library and carrying home an armload of books. Another one of my favorites was My Antonia by Willa Cather and The Robe.

I hope she is okay and posts soon.

Wow - all I can say is Wow. I haven't been on here in a while and I always forget how mean some posters can be on here. Momof3, the best thing to do is listen to your own instincts. You know your child better than anyone else. I thought your story was funny and I pictured your husband running out of the house tryng to put his shoes and clothes on. DGITW, I'm so sorry for what you had to go through as a child. It seems you have survived and have been able to have a happy, successful adult life.

Most people get denied the first time. Don't give up. I think it's easier if you are over 50 and getting a disability attorney will help. They only get paid when you are approved.
