I was upset when I heard about the young girl in Afghanistan getting shot for just wanting to go to school. It is a shame the way women and young girls are mis-treated in other countries. I think it is worse that this sort of thing is going on right here in America. ETA: It's not just the women and girls, but also the boys being forced to marry their cousins and not being educated properly. What is wrong with the parents that they follow this guy and force their children into this lifesyle?

Larry Hagman passed away Friday afternoon in Dallas. He was 81. RIP Mr. Hagman.

Watching 20/20 about the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints community. Warren Jeffs is still controlling the community from his prison cell. It's very sad to me to see what he has done to this community and how the families seem to obey him without question. He has told husbands and wives that they can't even touch each other, so the birth rate has dropped dramatically.

WOW!! Thanks for the video - what a gorgeous Cougar. Mine had black interior instead of red. The white Buick convertible is nice too. The Buick my dad gave me could have been a 59. He gave it to me in 1971. He always bought older cars - never new.

My dad gave me my first car which was an early 1960 something blue buick with big wings in the back. Not long after, I traded it in on a 1972 Cougar convertible, red with black top. I loved my Cougar and wish I still had it.

I think I heard that a neighbor called one of the parents and told them that a boy was at the house with the 13 year old and the parent told the neighbor to make the boy leave. My first thought was that the 13 year old girl got upset about that and took it out on her little sister. I can't imagine my child stabbing a little child like that. Very horrible for the whole family.

Agreed, I have seen more anger related to alcohol and prescribed pain meds and have seen anxiety and confusion helped with weed. I have never smoked weed and don't know that I ever will but I think it is ridiculous that people have to worry about smoking weed in their own homes, especially if it gives them some relief from a debilitating illness.

I especially wish it was legal in Georgia for you and others in the same situation. I'm so sorry you and your family are going through this.

I can still remember the call I received from Indiana, the day my mother passed suddenly and if I let myself, I still break down and sob because I experience those same feelings. Since then I have lost my father and both of my in-laws, my mil just last year. You just don't know how hard it will hit you, until it does. You are right about mending fences. I wish I had called my mom more often because there sure have been many times I have reached for the phone and then remember she's not there.
