Going to make some chocolate chip cookies - can't go wrong with those. Probably will throw some chicken in the crock pot in the morning with some spices and green chiles to roll up in tortillas with cheese and lettuce. Got bread, milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs, gatorade, water, jello, yogurt and didn't forget the dog food.

The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan show.

Glad you're getting it looked at.

DDD's update does not look very good. -
That doesn't sound good. Better safe than sorry.

I read your comment as nothing to be excited about until I clicked on your link. Hope he's wrong. -
Good to know - thanks!

Very well said and heartbreaking - made me cry when I read this. It's easy to sit back and be judgmental when you have not experienced the hurt and are trying to find something to make the hurt stop.

The weather changes so fast in Georgia. There could be a big snow/storm next week, sixties the next and in the eighties the next. Some years it seems like we don't have much of a spring.
-
My oldest son was 12 and my middle son was almost 9 so they grew up in Georgia. One still lives here and the other ended up in Albuquerque. I was 36, that sounds so young now since I'll soon be 63. I have an 18 year old son that was born in Snellville. He can't wait to get out of Georgia.

Yep, me too - a southsider all my life! I've been here since 1987.

He just struck me as a whiner, complaining that everyone was blaming him when his responsibility is only the city of Atlanta. That he was not responsible for what happened on the interstates. He acted like his feelings were hurt.

I had a three year old at the time and remember all the fathers in the neighborhood having to walk until they found stores with milk and bread. Were your parents from Indianapolis?
-
I remember a snowstorm in Indianapolis that happened in 1978 that closed schools for 3 weeks if I remember correctly. That was the well-known by Hoosiers as the Blizzard of '78. That was the most snow I had ever seen. I did experience the storms of 93 and 2011 in the Atlanta area also.

I was out in Lawrenceville/Grayson area from about 2-5 pm and the roads were pretty good. The schools were letting out at regular time and seemed to be doing ok. Then I got home and saw the news reports about the interstates in Gwinnett and they looked worse than the streets. I was thankful I no longer had to transport my son to and from North Paulding.
-
Wow, I can't believe there are people out there still trying to get home. Hope everyone stays safe. I'm sure lots are needing stiff drinks by the time they make it home.
-
I think they listed Paulding as being closed tomorrow on WSB-tv.

I hope with all of the accidents reported on here that there are no serious injuries. It's heartbreaking to hear of children stuck without necessary meds or being able to get to the bathroom. What's even worse is not being able to get home and charge their cellphones. Seriously, I do hope everyone makes it home safely soon.
-
How scary this must be for the bus drivers, kids and parents.
-
I hope all the kids arrive home safely soon. What a mess.
-
Nothing in Lawrenceville, yet. I take that back - just started - little tiny flakes!
-
Thanks, I'll tell him that but I won't tell him I was talking about him on pcom.

It's so hard to see your child in pain. Hope all goes well. -
I love blackened Mahi-Mahi. We're just having deli turkey sandwiches on Publix sour dough bread.

My son seems to be happy with Old Spice bodywash and anti-perspirant. I'm so glad he never got into wearing Axe - it is so strong. We do have a problem with under arm stains ruining his shirts though. I've always used All Free & Clear but maybe I'll try some Wisk and see if that helps.
