I agree on the judge being the big factor but.... Everything I am reading states that a gore is an area of convergence and identified by white lines/striping. All these officers are giving tickets for crossing yellow lines/striping in areas that are not of convergence. So are these tickets valid? I am really curious if this is just an interpretation of the law or is there some facts out there I can't find. Maybe the officers can help us with the law and show us it in print.

Photos of RBC Bank Robbery suspect released
grandmaofnine replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
At least these banks are actually now using cameras that can let people recognize the faces. Usually they were very hard to make out anything such as facial characteristics. -
What type of containers are you referring to? Would you go by the shelter and see if the new people in control have purchased the appropriate materials/containers and open all the bags and put the food items in there. I am sure if they are investing this much money in cleaning up they are taking the steps to prevent the food being a source of nourishment for any new rats that may come in. I am really curious to see if they go to this effort and expense. Be sure to update us on the steps they have taken to put these containers in place.

Cannot stand any of the Burger King commercials with the creepy King

Yes, all the sudden a lot of people are getting tickets for this, I used to never hear of someone getting a ticket for this, now they police seem to REALLY be focusing on it.

It looks like life flight may have been called according to the post above so someone must be hurt.

Frankly you appear to be more of an idiot for making a statement like you did about the one who caused the accident. We all have made errors while driving and have been lucky not to have killed someone due to that error. I have no clue who any of these people are but my thoughts go out to all of them, even the one who's error in judgment caused such a horrible event.

I am sure that is the case. But if I move in a company from customer service to marketing and all the sudden they outsource marketing what would happen? Sure I would love for them to fire the person who took my job, but would that likely happen? Probably not, I would most likely be on the unemployment line. This shouldn't be any different.

So it appears that hundreds of teachers will lose their job and someone from the BOE who chose to give up their job and move to another position would get the job of someone who was laid off? That is beyond wrong, they made their choice and should have to deal with the consequences of that decision and let the person who already has the job keep it.

Not skipping it at all, last time I checked that area was considered north Xobb you could possibly stretch it into central Cobb (where Barrett ended), once the road was extended it went through west Cobb. Any more questions?

That is correct, but he said there was no Barrett Parkway in West Cobb. Connected those dots yet?

Need someone to draw you a map? Lighten up Francis.

That is very sad for her, has she tried any of the free counseling available to help her sort this all out? -

If I see lights within my community I certainly want to know, if that is a busy body, so be it. I will even go as far to say anyone with any amount of common sense would understand that being aware of your surroundings and the criminal activities within your community is necessary now more than ever. -

I was there and they had a man in a Powder Springs police car with his personal items on the hood and everyone was moving around McDonald's as normal so it must have all been resolved. This was about an hour ago. -
I don't believe the question is if you were at a safe distance from the fire truck, I believe the question is how did you stay so close if it was obviously traveling at possibly unsafe speeds (hence your need for the video). It seems you wouldn't have had the opportunity to even get video of the fire truck as it would have been long gone and the truck would have had plenty of time to merge back into traffic. Sorry if you feel that is bashing, seems more like common sense that you contributed to the situation the same if not more.

If I am behind an emergency vehicle and see that someone has had to pull off to let them by I tend to give driver courtesy and let them back on to the road. If you were already going that slow maybe he thought you were extending the same courtesy and when he realized you weren't did what he could to get out of your way??? Not saying he was wrong or right just as I am not saying you were, just food for thought.

Floor collapses at Weight Watchers meeting
grandmaofnine replied to afriendlygeek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
All of us have our short comings and aging is a gift not something to be down about. Consider the alternative. For the record, I laughed at the story as well and would laugh in the face of anyone who called me a stupid fat biotch because frankly, if they are that ignorant, why would I care one little bit what their thoughts are of me? Food for thought. -

Thank you for the information, we definately don't mind driving down there. Is the walk bad from the red deck? I believe it is going to be VERY cold so we really would prefer the shortest walk. We plan on going really early and having dinner down there to get the closer parking.

Can anyone give me suggestions on going to the Dome with 2 smaller children (4-5)? I heard that sometimes parking is bad and the kids would have to walk a long way. Given that, I am thinking we will take Marta. Any suggestions on doing that from Hiram? We will drive to whatever station is best and then take the train. Are the hours limited? We will be going on a Saturday night in January, the event starts at 7pm and should be over by 9-10pm. Thanks.

A different perspective. Could it have been the way you grabbed them that was causing the attention? Some parents snatch their children so hard it is unbelievable and talk to them in the most hateful way. I am not saying this is the case with you, however THOSE people will continue to get my stare. I believe in spanking and discipline, however I don't believe it is something that has to be handled in a hateful or public manner. My kids acted up just like everyone else's, however a firm grasp of the wrist was all it took to let them know that the car ride home and actually getting home mig

Why take a cruise? over a standard trip?
grandmaofnine replied to bvrat5199's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Do you feel the motion of the ship? We took a trip YEARS ago on a very small boat (one day cruise out of Tampa I believe) and well it wasn't so much fun. Neither of us are very sensitive to motion at all, but we were sick.
