  1. Obama won because the Republicans are so lost they can't come up with a viable candidate. They are way too busy pandering to the extreme right. I honestly laugh every time I see someone blame the "low-information voter" for the fact that Obama won twice. At some point you have to stop and look in the mirror.
  2. Weird, I read about this yesterday when I was googling reasons why my middle finger would be numb.
  3. Out of all of the titles in the world to have, I can imagine that nobody ever thought to themselves "I'm going to be the Ebola Czar one day".
  4. I turned mine on this morning too. Except I don't think I did it right because it never got warm. I'm so lost (and cold) when my husband goes out of town.
  5. I voted for number one but they're all really good. He's a handsome guy.
  6. Yeah, I saw the commercial yesterday and I too thought it was a little odd but honestly I think that's what we need more of nowadays.
  7. Beat me to it. I don't think it's a bad thing that he supports both candidates. It shows he has a fair mind and isn't driven solely by party.
  8. Of course there wasn't. Nice is my middle name. I was just Joshin ya. Sorry for the hijack blondie. hope you're feeling okay this evening.
  9. So which one am I? Should I be offended?
  10. You're probably right, it just makes me mad that I have to drop my kid off at school and then wonder if she'll be ok. No parent should have to worry about their kids getting shot at school, ever.
  11. Don't get me started. I am so over this crap. My kid wants to go to school so that she can learn and become a successful, productive citizen. She has things to do. Perhaps the person writing threats on the wall doesn't have any future plans or anything to do, but my kid does. So now I get to weigh the risks, do I send her to school? Or do I keep her home? if I send her to school and God forbid something were to happen, I could never forgive myself. If I don't send her to school, it's most likeky a wasted day and she misses out on valuable class time and drill practice time, and earns an unexcu
  12. The sacrum is the bone at the bottom of your spine and above your tailbone. Yes, painful. There's a great big long story but I will spare everyone and just say that I was an idiot teenager who thought it would be a good idea to go for a joyride with intoxicated friends. I was thrown from the car through the T tops when it flipped. I'm lucky I'm not dead.
  13. I managed to make it 18 years without ever breaking a bone, and when I did, I went all out. I broke my pelvis in four places, and my sacrum. Good times. I hope you get to feeling better soon! I hate it for ya.
  14. I read on Facebook that there has been a third case diagnosed. Another healthcare worker. Eta- I failed to notice the updated topic title. Please ignore me.
  15. Every time I read the title of this topic, I think "who am I? Why am I here?" It's one of my favorite quotes. https://screen.yahoo.com/joyride-ross-perot-000000231.html
  16. What did they charge him with? Clowning around? Sorry.
  17. Since watching AHS- Freak Show I have a newfound fear of clowns.
  18. When we first got our new puppy I bought her a new side-by-side water and food bowl. She had the audacity to grow much bigger than we thought and now her water bowl is way too small for her. I'm refilling it like 25 times a day, all because I can't remember to buy a bigger water bowl.
  19. Has this happened more than once? I think keeping the items put away until a child is present would be fine. I'm just shocked you would actually have to do that. I seriously can't believe somebody would come in there and start pocketing toys, that's crazy!! I think it's nice of you to provide toys and things to keep the kids occupied, very nice. I wouldn't stop doing it on account of one nutjob.
  20. If we are talking Paulding, Martins. Once every three months I have lunch at Martins. A chili burger and onion rings. If I'm extra hungry and worthy, I'll order 2 chili burgers. But please don't tell anyone.
  21. It does seem like there's not much of a response coming from the White House about this. The head of the CDC no longer seems credible in my opinion and there is nobody in charge of this. Too many balls have been dropped already. I'm no alarmist and I'm still not scared, but it really seems like everybody is sitting on their hands waiting for this to become worse before taking any kind of substantial action. I don't get it. I feel like it's the president's job to reassure the people and to protect the people and it doesn't seem like that's happening. Here is an interesting article from USA Toda
  22. This is a terrible situation and my heart goes out to the Morrisons. I put $20 down, I wish I could do more. This whole thing makes me angry. I look forward to seeing this story on the news, where it belongs.
  23. "I don't want revenge on the Taliban, I want education for sons and daughters of the Taliban"- Malala Yousafzai Very well deserved. What a beautiful human.
