  1. Choot em! I once had a guy throw trash in my yard while I was standing outside on my front porch. Classy guy.
  2. I met Pubby right after eating fried pickles. I warned him that my hands were greasy but he shook my hand anyway.
  3. I appreciate you giving it thought and I got your bill. I put return to sender on it and stuck it back in the mailbox. I'm just not a big fan of blanket statements such as "they don't care". I'm sure ignorance plays a huge part in the transmission of the virus, but I also know that humans take care of humans, because it's the right thing to do. I am not naïve to what's going on, I just refuse to believe it's because they don't care. As for the guy who allegedly brought it here on purpose, I have no sympathy, he exposed children.
  4. This might come as a shock, but not everyone who believes differently than you is getting their ideas from left-wing websites.
  5. I haven't, today was my first time making a corn chowder. I'll have to check out her recipe. Here's another good one, Chicken enchilada soup. The link has a list of 10 soup recipes, it's at the bottom. http://realmomkitchen.com/463/chicken-enchilada-soup-and-my-top-10-soup-recipes/
  6. I made chipotle chicken corn chowder tonight. I'm eating it right now, its so dang good, definitely a keeper. I ended up adjusting it for the crockpot and added more chipotle. I made Papi's chili a few weeks ago, we ate it for 3 days! Mmmmmmmm. I love fall food too. Here is the recipe- http://www.browneyedbaker.com/chipotle-chicken-and-corn-chowder/
  7. I'm disappointed that this thread isn't about the airport.
  8. I'm sure there are plenty of instances of people who are being careless and ridiculous. But like I said, I think there are probably other instances where its spread because of people trying to do the right thing or the only thing they can to help their loved one.
  9. Or maybe it's because they do care that they keep spreading it to each other. I'm not quite sure how I could keep myself from caring for someone I love who is dying. I would take every precaution possible, but I'm not going to let my child or husband die alone because I'm scared of catching Ebola. I don't think it's because they don't care. Not everything is so black & white.
  10. You and me both. I went to bed extra early last night in an effort to recover fully for the weekend.
  11. I'm making habanero/bourbon/molasses pulled pork sandwiches. I slow roasted a pork roast that I stuffed with a habanero, onion, spice mixture. I'm serving it with my special honey-bourbon BBQ sauce. Fries on the side.
  12. Poor kid. No doubt she will know about this when she grows up. She's going grow up and find out that her parents were disappointed and fearful of her existence. Terrible.
  13. Gosh, I don't know where they are. It certainly seems like a worthwhile cause to sit around wondering and stewing over it instead of offering a solution. Does anyone actually care about what's going on in these communities or this just an opportunity to jump up on a political high horse? This place has become like the twilight zone ever the past few days. I'm shaking my head so much I'm starting to get a headache.
  14. That's funny sad and scary all at the same time. I have a good friend that works for the Ga DOR. I've heard some crazy stories, not THAT crazy, but crazy.
  15. According to the beliefs of most Christians, anyone who questions the existence of God would likely go to hell, would they not? So the whole fear theory doesn't really hold up. Not believing what some claim as true, while also not claiming to know for sure that it's not is hardly arrogance.
  16. They don't fear God, they just don't think a public school is the place for ANY type of religious symbols, sayings etc. When I dropped my daughter off at school on Friday there was a group of students outside having a Christian sing-along of sorts. It could have been the FCA group or something along those lines. Fine, whatever. However, I couldn't help but think to myself now what if there were a group of Muslim students out there praising Allah, would that be okay too? I'm assuming not. If it's fine for one religion, it's only fair to let all religions represent themselves. Right? Go ahea
  17. I was baptized Catholic as a baby and attended a Methodist church as a kid. I currently consider myself agnostic and have for the past 5 or so years.
  18. I never used my changing table. I would go without if I had limited funds.
  19. Chili dogs!! That's what we'll be having tomorrow.
  20. Now that it's fall I can make chili and not feel silly. I'm making Papi's chili tonight. My husband is so excited.
  21. Last night we had the worst Chinese takeout in the history of the world. Tonight we're having fiesta chicken salad wrapped in tortillas and chips & cheese.
  22. Not only is it not funny, it's completely ridiculous and immature. Also completely inaccurate.
