As a newbie, I'm loving this thread!! most of this stuff I have figured out on my own (I lurked long before I joined). I have commited some no-no's as well. I know I got off on the wrong foot with some with my "Obama is president, get over it comment" a while back If I had to do it over I might have saved that one for after people got to know me oh well. I think my straight fowardness may get me in trouble but may also help me stand my ground..we shall see! I do have a question...how do I use the highlight or "bold" feature when I want to respond only a specific part of a post?

Mexican-Jalapeno Joes Steak & seafood-what ever happened to the place in down town hiram, I believe it was called Main street tavern? that place was gooood. Blazing wings & home made ranch dressing- Birdies all-american cuisine-Steak & Shake, mmmmmm.....cheese fries. I agree we need more or a selection.

I was thinking the same thing about the Sun Chips bag. I used it to wake up my daughter one afternoon when she wouldn't get out of bed. I went in her room & opened the bag, it's an unpleasant noise & worked quite well

I've been craving scallops (the big ones)like crazy, I even dreamt of them the other night. How do you cook yours? I know I can google & find a recipe, I just I wanted to see what p.com has to say first. My main fear is over or undercooking them. My husband owns a landscape company and works out in this heat all day. I don't know how he survives. I have a hard time walking from my house to my car without feeling like i'm about to suffocate. Fall can't get here soon enough.

I for one have never seen Titanic, Top Gun, or Ledends of the Fall. People are always shocked. I don't know how you feel about musicals but some "classics" that I love are Sound of Music & My Fair Lady. Raizing Arizona & Sixteen Candles are also good. My favorite movie is Truman Show.

I'll be sure NOT to tell my husband that Don't wanna burst his bubble! My daughter maintained her "largeness"..I'm 5'7" And she is now taller that me at the age of 12. She has always been the tallest in her class since pre-school.

I don't agree with not reading to her the next night if she crys. she will most likely cry til she gets used to the routine. Maybe take away tv time or something else. Reading is important & it's wonderful bonding time. JMO
