  1. Every time I make BBQ, I use a new recipe because in all my years of cooking, I still have yet to find that perfect recipe that I will want to make again and again for years to come. I usually make bbq in the crock pot, with a boston butt BUT I'm curious how others do it because clearly i'm doing something wrong. If anyone has a recipe or method they'd like to share, by all means, please do. TIA.
  2. Don't be so hard on yourself, being a parent is hard. None of us are perfect parents.
  3. I agree with you 100% LPPT. Not to mention, the 911 operator told Zimmerman not to follow the kid to begin with. I also heard on the today show that "Zimmerman had called 911 46 times in 2011, according to records. Not a single one of those calls resulted in an arrest or further action being needed by police." "
  4. I thought your daughter was grounded for skipping school? I wasn't allowed to hang out with friends when I was grounded. Am I missing something? With all do respect, it seems to me that you aren't really willing to get tough with her, therefore you should probably expect her to keep screwing up. I'm not being snotty, I'm just stating my observations and opinion. I said in the other thread, you need to nip this in the bud. Lawyers are expensive.
  5. My garage tv is no longer working, which sucks. Thats where my eliptical is. I haven't worked out since monday. Gotta get a box asap.
  6. ugh, that's disturbing. I'm really sorry that happened. I hope this get treated seriously and is investigated. I think we all know that a person capable of this type of thing is likely to progress in their "sickness".
  7. but think of how skinny we'll be, from all the running.
  8. Sounds like we have a date!
  9. If I know someone is watching, I might walk faster. Good motivation.
  10. Agreed, and this is very close to where I live.
  11. Same here, my screen was tilted at an angle and I couldn't make it out. I'm glad. This is the second thread of the night I wish I had stayed out of.
  12. I understand what you are saying and I actually agree. Black people should not play the victim for what happened in the past, I don't think they are owed anything. All i'm saying is I understand the sensitivity. If you don't, fine.
  13. yep, I walk it every day.
  14. yea, I bow out. Lesson learned. I need to stay out of topics concerning race & pit bulls. I hope everyone has a good night.
  15. wow, clearly you people don't know me. at all. The thought of any child being hurt, ever, brings me to tears. OF COURSE I feel horrible for the kid. HORRIBLE. I'm deeply offended anyone would suggest otherwise. I just get tired of the suggestion that everything has to do with race, and I was trying to make the point that I can understand why black people might be a little more sensitive when it comes to an unarmed teenager being killed in the way he was.
  16. I kinda think black people have a right to feel a little sensitive. It wasn't that many years ago, in Alabama, that the police looked the other way while black people (including women) were beaten in the streets for riding a bus. I might be sensitive too. But then again I have what is called empathy.
  17. The OP is comparing news coverage of 2 different senseless acts with different outcomes. I don't get the op's intentions, I can only assume it's in an effort to stir the racial pot. Which I don't think needs much stirring.
  18. I recall him being VERY vocal in the Terri Schiavo case. Honestly, comparing tragedies is gross.
  19. Thank you. I keep saying I should write a book for teenage girls, I would love it if people could learn from my mistakes. It wasn't until my parents kicked me out and I spent a few nights in my car, that I realized what I was doing to myself and my family was not working out very well for me. Shortly after they let me move back, I found out I was pregnant and the rest is history. The key is to LEARN from your mistakes, and that, I have definately done.
  20. yep, I saw a baby snake in my back yard the other day. I'm hoping he has already left the nest and there aren't a bunch of them somewhere close by. It was black with a yellow ring around it's neck. Not sure what kind that is. I assumed it was harmless.
  21. Thanks everyone, I can't stomach another meal at Labamba, and I get tired of driving to Hiram for mexican. New Hope needs a Mexican resturant. I noticed that there are no "for lease signs" in the old Beef O Brady's windows anymore. not sure if that means anything or not. Maybe a new resturant? Or maybe the signs fell down.
