I agree, it is sad to see them go. I hate it. My husband and I own a small business, we have since 2004. We have had our ups and downs for sure, but with smart decisions and hard work, We have been able to keep our heads above water. That is not to bash anyone, sheeze happens. but is it is ridiculous to blame the current administration for failure. A total cop out if you ask me. To an extent, blaming the government is the same thing as living off them.

The best book I have ever read is Cane River by Lalita Tademy. It changed the way I look at the world. It is fiction but based on fact, if that makes sense. I read it many years ago, I will never forget it. It was in Oprahs Book Club selection.

Has anyone ever seen the movie "Midnight madness" starring a young Michael J Fox? This thread made me think of it. Its a widely unknown movie I think, It was my favorite when I was a kid. I have too many Facebook friends. I want to delete a lot of them but I'll feel bad. And I don't know why, but I've never had a deleted friend suggested to me. weird.

My daughter was just 3 at the time, I also had feelings of guilt that I had brought a child into this crazy world. I was asleep when the first plane hit. Immediately after I woke, my husband called me from work to tell me what had happened. I listened to it all unfold on the radio, my dd was watching pbs and I didn't want her to see what was going on. What I remember most is how quiet it was every where I went afterward and how nice everyone was to eachother. I had nightmares for a few years after, it all really messed with my head.

Freaking ridiculous. Kids are supposed to be dumb on some level, but not that dumb. I was really hoping my daughters freshman year at east Paulding would go by without any negative news coverage. Why are kids so terrible? My daughter was practically in tears on Friday when she was telling me she has a hard time paying attention in math class because the kids are so loud and bad. It sucks. I'm pissed.

I just got her first cookbook a few days ago. I've only made the chili, and the breakfast potatoes this morning. They were so good, restaurant quality good. That woman is a genius!
