P-dubs, lol. Swiss cheese you say? I will have to try that. I've been putting blue cheese crumbles on them. Yum. I have them on the menu for next week. Until I "met" the Pioneer woman, I never used whiskey in my cooking. Now I try to use it as much as possible (I almost set myself on fire last time I used it ), I love the taste.

I own season three of Family Guy. That's about it. I would like to own or at least watch the entire Big Love series. I watched a few seasons of it and I loved it but I never finished the series. -
I've never heard of soft kitty. I feel like I might be the only one.

"Ear plugs" just my bill-paying humble opinion

People get their panties in a wad over the dumbest things. If my kids ever recoil in horror while meeting a person because of the way they appear, I will be sure to give them a good talking to about not judging others afterward. I would be ashamed. I think they're stupid too, but to each Their own.- 79 replies

I already have issues with my mother in law concerning my son and her overstepping her boundaries. That probably has a lot to do with the cringe that I feel. But like NinaBritt says, I'm mostly just happy that she loves him as much as she does.

Werd. My MIL likes to refer to my son as "our" little man. I cringe just a little when she says it, unless she says it while offering to babysit, then I'm fine with it.

Soooo many "egg hunts", wonder if kids are tired of them!

We do one egg hunt at home. You couldn't pay me to attend a community Easter egg hunt. -
I cooked for 2 days straight! I made a ham, a small roasted turkey, collard greens, bacon jalapeño deviled eggs, hashbrown casserole, collard greens, rolls and 2 strawberry cobblers. Whew, It wears me out just to type all of that. I loved every minute of it though, I love cooking for my family.

As does yours! Thanks for including the directions in your post, I left that part out. oops. Mine is pretty much the same, score, rub brown sugar all over, then pour the ingredients around the ham instead of over the ham. Baste occasionally.

Here is the crock pot cola ham recipe I used, sorry it too so long. (8 pound) boneless ham 2 cups packed brown sugar 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle cola-flavored carbonated beverage 1 cup grape juice 1 (20 ounce) can sliced pineapple, drained with juice reserved I threw the pineapple juice in with the rest of the ingredients, I didn't use the pineapple slices.

I made a tester ham last weekend, I had never made one in a crockpot before that so I wanted to make sure it would work. It turned out pretty good. Mine was about 5 pounds, I cooked it 4.5 hours on low. Since it's already cooked, I didn't see any reason in leaving it any longer than that, I was worried it would dry out. I will post the recipe I used when I get to a computer.

My brother, sister, and their families are coming over to my house. I too am making a ham in the crockpot with coke. I bought a little turkey as well because I know my sister is not a fan of ham. The kids are going to have an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. It should be a good day, I'm looking forward to it.

I'm so excited he said it, that is so cute! Now, if I could just get mine to say his own name. Every time I ask him what his name is, he says "no". I refuse to start calling him that. He doesn't like answering questions that don't have a yes or no answer. That's part of his therapy.

Congrats and good luck!

My nephew was diagnosed at the Marcus center 4 years ago. I was told that an evaluation there would be quicker and not as thorough. I have no idea if this is true, it's just what I was told. I want someone who's going to take their time. I believe he is on the spectrum but very high functioning, maybe aspergers. His "quirks" might not be observed in just 1 or 2 visits. They happen more when he is comfortable in his environment. He is already getting all of the therapy he needs occupational wise, and im learning ways to get him to "connect". my concern is when he starts school. He will need an

Tuesday Dinner- Quiche, soup, salad and baguette ?
jennilyn77 replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I honestly can't remember, I used the cheapest one I could find. It wasn't a rump roast or a chuck roast. Sorry I'm no help! I imagine any cut would work. Considering I used the cheapest one. It was really really good. -
I need to have my son evaluated for Autisim. His Occupational therapist thinks it is time, and so do I. His therapist recommended Dr. Mongomery in Woodstock but I wanted to get other opinions before I start making calls. I'm also curious about the process of evaluation, did your dr. observe your child over several visits? How long did it take? Did your insurance cover it? TIA.

Dood, it was sooo good! 1 cup of beef broth 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar 1 TB Worcestershire sauce 1 TB Soy sauce 1 TB honey 1/2 ts red pepper flakes 4 colves of garlic, chopped The recipe didn't call for it but I added one of those Swanson flavor boost packets also. Throw it all in the crock pot, shred, serve on toasted buns. I actually added blue cheese to my sandwich, because I love it. I'm going to make chimichangas from the leftovers tonight.
