  1. I think I'd go for a large SUV so I could live in it comfortably.
  2. LOLOLOL - and summers at Jump for Joey! Seriously, I think this type of education starts at home - but that doesn't always happen, or work.... I don't have an issue with the act, I have an issue with the irresponsibility - USE A CONDOM give condoms away for free in the front office or by the school nurse!
  3. My 2010 goal was 100. I dropped it down to 50 for 2011 because I wanted to focus on more classics - I'm currently on Dracula. I'm a fan of true crime though.
  4. this is where I have to disagree with you. You have the responsibility of the safety of YOURSELF. I have the responsibility of MYSELF. If they ask you to stay off the roads, you listen. OR you do what you wish, but take personal responsibility for the outcome of YOUR choices. I do NOT feel that it is the government's responsibility to keep us "safe" It is OUR responsibility. Interstates were given priority. They've voiced that time & time again. It's simply a matter of which interstate section came first. it doesn't happen very often to this degree. It's novel real
  5. 3500ish. she won't run out of space.
  6. you should play around with both of them to decide which you prefer. I prefer a nook because I love B&N, never purchase from Amazon, and I didn't like the keypad on the Kindle - but I'm sure Kindle users have common reasons for their choice.
  7. no. that's just the glare from the snow.
  8. Right!!??! ohhh, and my sil's car stayed here for a week or so - questioned THAT too. I must have been really busy - between having an affair with my own brother AND my sil!
  9. agreed. True story: while hubby was deployed, my neighbor THOUGHT the same thing - she was wrong - she is now never called by name in this house, she is referred to as the megac**t. I hate her. I really, really hate her. My OWN brother spent the night, and she was all consumed with whose truck it was. did I mention that I hate her? my children are not allowed to look at her house, much less speak to any assumed human that lives in the residence. I hate her. I refuse to speak to her, her spawn, or her poor poor husband. I hope she reads this.
  10. I doubt you will have any business today. Hope you don't lose too much $ by being open today. Good luck!
  11. I think we should just call the rest of the week a wash & don't worry about it.
  12. you guys just aren't right. but I do have to say.... just this once.... I don't often get offended over the "it's a southern thing" type of comments - BUT if I hear that "southerners don't know how to drive" comment one more time, I'll hurt somebody. Last I checked, NOONE can drive on ICE!!!! I don't care where you are from - It has NOTHING to do with my ability to drive - I HAVE THE COMMON SENSE TO STAY HOME! ugg. thanks, I feel better now.
  13. <~ nookie here. nook also has plenty of free & inexpensive books to download. Just depends on what you are looking for. nook comes with a handful of classics included. I'm still working on Dracula.
  14. 5 am? no way. stay home. at least wait until the sun comes up so you can SEE where you're sliding to.
  15. well, thank you very much NR.
  16. Maybe I was watching a different news program all day than everyone else?? What did I see? I saw the Ga DOT working their asses off TRYING to clear the interstates. I heard the Ga DOT explain that the interstates are their primary concern. But while we're at it - What rock were these people living under that they HAD to go out TODAY to get milk & bread, etc. ???? That's funny, cause I could've sworn that we ALL knew it was coming since at least Saturday ....... guess they missed the memo.
  17. I wonder if that was written/observed in the days of mailcarriers hand delievering the mail. A lot changes when you pave the roads and put a 4000 lb automobile on the ice, and spread people out into suburbia. I did hear on one of the news stations that the city of Atlanta received mail today - again, probably hand delievered.
