  1. Miguel - Illegal and should be locked up then deported. He should have called the police, but when you want some of the illegal drugs they were carrying, why would you do that! Not a crime. Chris - I believe that the older of the three was of legal age to buy the ammo, and at that time did not have any felony convictions. That would make it legal for them to purchase the ammo, and while he had an idea that something might be going on, he didn't know it for a fact. I don't think he would have recieved any help from police if he had called. I don't think any crime was committed. Bubba -
  2. Burn their rear ends, but I do think a felony is a bit much. My biggest concern is that all receive equal punishment. Some will probably not have parents who can pay for the damages, or hire lawyers. The punishment should be set as a group, and the fines or restitution requirements should be as a group. I'm sure it won't work that way, but it should! Everyone involved knew it was illegal, and I doubt any of them just happened to wonder by the school at that time of night.
  3. I was in an office there at 92 & Ridge for two years. I never heard of any vandalism to the storage units. I have been gone for a year, but it is still under the same ownership, so I hope that they are still maintaining security.
  4. The plain and simple fact is that she got more folks to the polls than I did! No need to argue about it. I wish her luck in the job, and for the sake of the City, hope she does well.
  5. I have qualified to run for the office of Mayor in the City of Hiram. It's time to get back to the business of operating the city in an ethical, honest, and fair way. More to come soon. Look for DonBrownForMayor, and address any questions or comments to DonBrownForMayor@gmail.com

  7. I am trying to determine how many P.commers are actually residents in the City of Hiram, and how many vote. If you reside in the city limits, and haven't voted, or don't plan to vote, how about stating your reasons?
  8. I was going to post this for the Special Election for Mayor in Hiram, but it turns out that Feb. 6 is also the deadline to register to vote in the Presidential Preferential Primary. It is important that you get out and vote this year. Both elections have the potential for far reaching changes in our local and national welfare. City of Hiram Special Election Residents within the City Limits of Hiram Only Last day to register: February 6 (check your registration at http://www.sos.georgia.gov/MVP/Login.aspx ) Early Voting: Feb 27 - March 2 Election Date: March 6 at the Hiram Community C
  9. Taxing vices has never been about "saving" anything, it is about the money! It is easy revenue for the taxing authority, for the most part, people do not stop doing whatever is being taxed. It is as good as printing money. If they want to save lives, legalize and tax most "drugs". It won't stop people from using them, but will take the incentives to kill others away. Use some of the funds for education and rehab. I think that has done a lot more for the reduction in tobacco use than the taxes ever will.
  10. There should be 2 or 3 visits after each of these shows. It certainly borders on abuse, if not neglect.

  12. History of Veterans Day Take the time today to thank a vet, and to remember those who served but are no longer here.
  13. They must have been landing in the Ingle's parking lot. I thought that they were lost when they were coming in, but when they were leaving, you could tell that there were multiple flights. Does anyone know what happened? This was at the Nebo/Dallas-Nebo area.
  14. My favorite time of year! A great end to September, and start to October. Bring it on!
  15. I hope it will be good. Prime time has done a decent job on making sci-fi shows, they just don't keep them on the air.
  16. You can get "Stevia in the Raw" at Kroger. It is much less than Truvia. I don't recall the exact price, but it was close to half. I saw an article the other day posted either on AOL or FOX that Stevia was the healthiest of the sugar substitutes. I'll see if I can find the article, but it was even better than the Truvia. There is still something in the way Truvia is processed that adds some health concerns to it. It is still nothing like Sweet and Low, which this article said should never be used. Even Splenda was bashed for all of the problems as you described with headaches, joint pai
  17. I was very surprised when I saw that. Maybe the remembrance of the date will pull the country together a little like the original attacks will?

  19. And there you have the answer to the question about why a mother would do this! This show makes my bp go sky high, but my wife loves it. I think most of them should be arrested for what they are doing to their children. One last night was feeding the child apple juice laced with red bull and coke to wake her up!!
  20. That certainly has something to do with insurance increases in general, but Homeowners rates are going up accross the board in Georgia primarily due to the multi-year above average hail and rain we've had. All those "free" roofs that were replaced after the hail storms are not really "free", someone has to pay for them, and we are now doing that. Some of the companies are keeping the increases to a minimum and are offering better rates than you may expect. PM me if your interested in a complementary quote!
  21. This whole conversation is why the semi-socialized Obamacare will never work. It's unconstitutional to force anyone to buy coverage, but without everyone in the pool, then the costs of the particular plan will sky rocket. Only those who can't get coverage because of pre-existing conditions, or won't/can't pay the actual costs, will buy it. The cost goes up because you only have high risks or non-payers in the group. Those who can afford better, cheaper plans will not enroll. Other than being unconstitutional, and just wrong for this country, A fully nationalized single payer plan would cut th
