What we have here is a total misunderstanding of what Social Security is. It is not about your retirement, but is about a retirement for the older generation. Each individual pays a Social Security Tax to support the old, the disabled, the widows and orphans of individuals that died before reaching old age. Your own Social Security Retirement will be paid by the next generation. If you desire a private retirement plan, start one as this appears to be a smart move if you have the resources to do so. Not everyone is so lucky as they live paycheck to paycheck with nothing left to invest.

John Cochran worked for the BOE at that time and was instrumental in securing the land for the school. I bet he would be glad to share any details of the transaction and the proposed school or schools. When building resumes, this area is going to experience tremendous growth that will extend to the Etowah River. Dabbs Bridge Road and Old Alabama Road are scheduled to be straightened and 4-laned giving easy access to Hwy 41 and I-75. When Hwy 61 is 4-laned, Dallas will be bypassed as a bad memory.
