This is crazy. I have to always wonder what is going on in peoples minds when they get lost/stuck in the snow because their GPS led them down a snowmobile trail in the winter. Hello? Can you not see our your windshield and realize you are about to drive into snow?? ugh....I would be embarassed..and these people are suing over their own stupidity. People that file these suits should not only lose, but have to pay back any costs they created for everyone involved. Its like the hot coffee at McDonalds law suit. Is coffee not supposed to be hot??

Dont get me wrong...I REALLY want to go to this one--but I dont do well in large crowds. I think I may end up going anyway, because I know it would be a great experience for my boys. I want them to understand that this is just not a free day off from school! Thank you!

I read the topic about the Memorial Day service in Marietta...but dont really want to drive all the way over there..plus I dont know where I'm going! Is there really nothing happening in Paulding county? What is everyone else's plans for tomorrow? I would like for the kids to see the gun salute, we've never seen that before.

I have boys, and charts never went well with us. They were into it at first, then it just went away. I think girls may like it better. It is a great concept for life's lessons. Do what is right, and you will be rewarded. I've never been big on paying money for good grades, but usually reward them with a special dinner. I explain to them that their grades will pay off their entire life, and it is their responsibility. So, to answer your question, yes..do it!! I agree with you. I dont know anyone in the military either. I guess one way to look at it though, is that it shows that the military will care for our soldiers no matter what...and that they are never alone.

I usually use a little bit of everything in the spice cabinet, and the fridge. I've even made them like I would a meatloaf, then turned it into patties. Those were good too! A little bit of Liquid Smoke is good! We put Montreal Seasoning on almost everything.

I just finished watching "Taking Chance" with Kevin Bacon. Its about a Marine escorting a fallen soldier home. I thought it was an amazing movie....and a great one to watch this weekend. It detailed the procedures and honor of this process. I strongly recommend this movie, and will probably watch it again later with my sons. ETA: It is a true story about Pfc Chance Phelps.

I agree with you completely. Imagine if EVERY business in Paulding County used the "free advertising" at every intersection. What a mess that would be. Legit companies pay to advertise in the newspaper, on PCOM, or by making donations to sports groups, etc.

I finished reading Stephen King "Under The Dome" last month. It was over 1000 pages....but I started in December!! BTW, that was very nice of her to reply to you!
