Bankhead on either side of downtown Austell explains the long line of traffic along Humphries Hill in downtown Austell. My daughter lives there and said it has been a constant line of traffic all day long. She knew that now they were turning people back toward 278/Thornton Road. Like they can go somewhere.

We couldn't figure that out either. The sign was up when we left this morning but it was across the road when we came back home about 3 hours later. Road was fine both times. Maybe they closed it to keep people from going that way off Oglesby since Hiram Lithia was closed and not a way around the closed area of 278. Prayers for all involved. We saw a LOT of damage while we were out. Cars in the flood waters, houses and churches flooded. So sad to see.

Meadows Rd at Lewis Rd CC Not sure why this is closed. The sign is up but the road is quite passable. We were through just about a half hour ago. Highway 278 is closed between Westside and Oglesby. And apparently between Westside and Humphries Hill. It was a mess out there. On Hiram Lithia Springs Road, the brand new bridge that opened about six weeks ago is underwater!

Nick, I plan to have you take portaits of my daughter, son in law and both kids once the new one gets here. Hubby and I were talking about this the other day. I'd also like one of just the grandbabies, both separately and together. Thanks! Yesterday was a special time for all of us. We all thought for certain that the pregnancy had been lost right after the 4th of July. With many prayers, the pregnancy has continued and the baby is thriving.

It was my mom's middle name, too, but the one she always went by.

I'm thinking about it.

As most of you know, I have a precious granddaughter named Starr Hana. Apparently, I am going to have another granddaughter in February. My daughter went for an ultrasound today and FINALLY they were able to get a pretty good look at the boy/girl parts and this one apparently is a girl. Her name will be Charlotte Estelle. Yes, daughter and son in law like unusual names. My mom would have been so happy with the name for the new baby, too. Her name was Estelle and one of her favorite, and closest, sisters in law was Charlotte. I was so relieved when my daughter got back home an

A couple or four of them. Diamonds and Rust by Joan Baez. Reminds me of a guy I dated from 1974-1977. I recently told him that the song reminded me of him. He liked that since it was written about Bob Dylan and he has always been a huge Bob Dylan fan. Wishing You Were Here by Chicago. Same as above. Heard it on our first date. He lived in North Carolina and I lived in Smyrna, so we only saw each other every other weekend. Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Reminds me of my husband. Heard it on one of our first couple of dates. In fact, I told him that on Friday. I had n

When I was talking with you yesterday, my husband said he would just stick with the age of 50. That was a good age for him. Hope it's a good age for you, too. We were down in your area today on a little ride with the top down. I waved as we went by your road.

I skipped breakfast so I could fill up on tacos and stuff. Then didn't make it. I will feel SO much better after going to the chiropractor. Just waiting for it to kick in

I passed 50 a couple of years ago. I'm now thinking of 50 as being "young". Turning 30 for me was nothing. My best friend turning 30 was rough on me. Now, my niece will be 50 in December. That bothers me big time. Sorry I missed your birthday lunch. I had good intentions. I thought showing up as late as I would have been was worse than not showing up at all. I really wanted a good taco, too. We will just have to do it again. Did they make you wear the sombero?

We stood in line for just over 2 hours.

Tech Tip #17 - The Ultimate Medical Content Search Engine
Mama Carol replied to afriendlygeek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanks for that link. I do a lot of medical research and that is a great new resource. Wish I had had that last year when I did even more research. -
My daughter has it. Other than having to keep the computer on all the time, they haven't had a problem and love it. The problems they have had are related to the phone they are using, and not the Magic Jack.

I absolutely loved one job I had. I worked as a medical transcriptionist in an orthopaedic surgeon's office. Loved my co-workers. Loved my employers. Best job I ever had. Must have been because I worked there four times! Met my husband there. Still see one of the doctors when we have something orthopaedic come up. I don't think it was so much what I did that I loved about that job, but the people I worked with. Although I did like what I did.

Since our TV has a digital tuner, we didn't have any problems with the change. I love the channels we get. Probably 20 or more. We don't even have half of them saved. I love me some RTV. And the weather channel on 11.2 is cool.

That's what I was thinking. Are you talking about within the playlist itself, or from one playlist to another?

Navarre Beach, FL What's your favorite season?

That depends. If six of them are crazy, maybe seven IS a lucky number.

There's only a 3 year wait after travel to areas where malaria is present. If you went over a year ago, you should be able to give again in a little less than 2 years. Better safe (for the recipient) than sorry.

I, too, got back in touch with my first love via Facebook. We rarely have talked about old times but instead share what we're doing now and where we are in our lives at this moment. He's been married for 25 years, which I knew about since his sister has been my best friend since 1974. But "in love" with him, no. Love the memories, love him but not "that" way. It's been awesome talking to my first love, after 26 years.

Drinking lots of fluids, particularly water, before giving blood also helps plump up the veins so it is easier to do the venipuncture. After probably 50 pints or so given, I know all the tricks.

With me, I knew at the time what the future would bring if I had married my first love. I think HE knew, too. That's why we didn't even though we talked about it. He's been married for 25 years and is happy; I've been married for 31 years and am happy. Now, we're happy being friends again (but maybe for the first time really and truly being friends). I wouldn't change any of this--my husband, my family or my new/old friend.

She could always move. You sound like my husband!!!

I hear you. I'm that way, too. Love my hubby with all my heart and soul, can't imagine being without him or what my life would have been like without him. Someone I've known since 9th grade and dated from 1974-1977 still claims a big part of me that nobody else, even my hubby of 31 years, can touch. Still love him but definitely, positively not IN love with him. Interestingly, when my husband and I started dating he said he still loved his ex-wife. Always had, always will. He asked me if there was someone in my life who I felt that way about and I told him yes, there was. I don't
