You can always get another job or find another way to earn a living. You can't get another family, even though Lord knows there have been times when I wanted to.

I intend to get in touch with AT&T and read them the list of times I have lost my Internet and ask them for an adjustment on the bill. Interesting enough, I have not lost the connection at all while in Florida, which has been for a total of 19 days this year.

For a pot conviction? Yeah, I'd rent to him. For a child molestation conviction, no way in hades. I might put something additional in the lease, though. I would let him know that if he was ever caught with drugs of any kind, by me or the police, that he would have 30 days to vacate.

I'm with AT&T and near Austell and have been having problems for over 3 months. Actually, longer than 3 months. I just started keeping a log of the times it went down since Thanksgiving.

We saw a flock or two on the 5th and then saw FIVE flocks yesterday. It must be spring! :yahoo: :yahoo:

Anyone use and taxact and refund is late?

this might explain part of why: http://www.clarkhoward.com/news/clark-howard/personal-finance-credit/early-tax-filers-wait-refunds-irs-fights-id-theft/nHW56/ If you filed your taxes earlier this year and you're sitting around waiting for your refund, you may find you have to wait a bit longer for a very legitimate reason. During the last few years, crooks have been stealing people's Social Security numbers and then filing false returns as though they were those people. The crooks typically claim low income and high deductions and file electronically. Then when you go to legitimatel -

Nope, you're not the only one who wants to smack that kid. And I don't care who the commercial is for, I find it distasteful and believe it sends a terrible message.

Years and years ago my sister in law told me the same thing--that it's easier to get a job when you have a job. Seemed to work for me that way. Did you notice on "60 Minutes" last night that ALL of the people they had on there who had been unemployed for 1 to 3 years were in their 40s and 50s. Most looked to be in mid to late 50s, in fact. Being unemployed makes employers not want to hire you but being in your 50s makes them want to run from you. I actually responded to a Craiglist ad last week that said they were looking for someone between 25 and 40. I told them that was illega

instead of coupons, you might get a nice visit from some detectives.

Oh, me too!! I especially like that Kroger sends coupons that I can use and since my daughter uses my Plus card from time to time, they send coupons that she can use as well since we buy a lot of different things.

I would, too. Of course, I had a hysterectomy 9 years ago. I have bought diapers and formula for the grandbabies, though.

Call the IRS and ask if the form required to file for hybrid tax credit can be e-filed. If not, then just print out your return and mail it in because that would be your only option anyway. Occasionally, the free online tax prep software programs won't e-file even e-fileable forms. If that is the case, going somewhere else or buying a program would get around it. You bought a Volt??? Since there are only a few hybrids that qualify, it shouldn't be difficult to narrow it down.

Let the company you're interviewing with know that you have scheduled work hours and ask if they can schedule your interview before or after work hours. In all the jobs I have interviewed for I have never been told you MUST come at 2 p.m. for this interview. I'm always given a choice of times and days. If a company can't schedule the interview at a time that I can come without taking too much time off my current job, I doubt I'd want to work for them anyway.

My best guess is the form that you have to file to get the credit is not one that can be e-filed or one that the software you're using doesn't e-file.

Turbotax has NO control over when the IRS issues refunds or when they are accepted. From this, you can clearly see that 8 days after acceptance may or may not be accurate: accepted between Feb 2 and Feb 8, 2012 (by 11am) direct deposit by Feb 15, 2012 paper check by Feb 17, 2012

Maybe it was Thursday before, as well. Daughter and SILs refund was accepted and was supposed to be back by a week ago Thursday but for some reason it didn't process until Tuesday of last week. As you said, NO GUARANTEE and the efiler has no control over it.

It matters NONE when you sent the return in. What matters is when it was accepted. Not sure what this year's magic cut-off day of the week is, but in the past it was Wednesday at something like 11 a.m. If your return was accepted at 10:59 a.m. on Wednesday, you got your federal refund a whole week earlier than someone whose return was accepted two minutes later at 11:01 a.m. on Wednesday. I might add that it matters NONE what software you use to do your return. It matters WHEN the return is accepted.

I know that's right! Nausea, headache, stress. Yep, that's taxes all right.

I'm that bottom right hand one right now! Taxes. I hate 'em.

I think it is very disrespectful to everyone to have the flag at half staff for an entertainer. Not even considering how she lived or died. Just the fact that she was an entertainer. Why does that get a flag lowering????

good to see you on here, too. We miss your dad. -
This happened just up the road from here. I immediately thought of the people I know who use them. Apparently the man tried to light one with a lighter.
