I think you are correct about there only being one drowning and I am pretty sure I witnessed it. I think it happened just upstream from the 41 takeout. It was on the west (right side going down the river) bank. At the time I was a certified lifeguard and we tried to get to that side but we were way downriver by the time we got to that side.
