  1. I have a Jack Lalanne juicer. I like it, the juice is good and it is good for you. It's just a pain to clean all those veggies, make the juice and clean up. That thing takes up half a dishwasher. I need to start using it again.

    Pumpkins

All I know about pumpkins is that everyone around here is into greasing them up with vaseline. Strange but true.
  3. Whew! Not me. I've had both and I'll take turtle any day. Duck tastes muddy and greasy. By the way, I just saw where turtle meat is selling for $18 to $24 a pound.
  4. Not true. Everyone makes mistakes. Having a firearm that is under lock and key is about the same thing as no firearm at all. By the time you get it unsecured you probably will no longer need it. Just have someone call the coroner. I've been shooting Glocks for 15 years and I have NEVER had one to jam. The worst thing I have ever had happen is the clip spring lost some strength so that the firearm would not breech after the last round was fired. Nothing life threatening, you just don't know that you have fired your 13th round. 13 rounds, another advantage a semi-auto has of a fi
  5. If there is ANY chance of a kid ever accidentally getting the gun (and accidents do happen), you are better of with a Glock. I don't keep a round chambered in mine and there is no way a small child can chamber a round and accidentally fire the weapon.
  6. One word (maybe two): FireFox. Built in spell check.
  7. All in good fun. Some folks are just wound a little tighter than others. I will add, if you can find a Glock that fits your hand and needs that is a good place to start. Very little problem even when not meticulously maintained.
  8. Think about it. Just how brilliant of a fellow do you think would have a job as Douglas County Code Enforcer?
  9. I understand, but I also know by your response that you have never had it. If you like roast beef, turtle has some of the best tasting and tender meat that tastes exactly like a perfect eye of round roast. BTW FBBC, the chili is made just waiting for my other half to get here.
  10. Obviously everyone has their opinion of what makes the best chicken and dumplings. C&D is (or is that are) my comfort food. When my mother would show up at my grandmother's house all the chickens would have an anxiety attack because everyone (including the chickens) knew my mom was going to have a large pot of my grandmother's chicken and dumplings before she went back home. I have had all the different dumplings from all the different countries but my favorite is still the homemade biscuit dough dumplings cooked with fresh chicken, salt and pepper.
  11. Thanks FBBC, now I'm having chili for dinner. Now I gotta go to Target.
  12. That pic needs sound. If you ever need someone to babysit while your on vacation. I won't ride it, just crank it up every day a listen to it idle.
  13. I have some homemade schnapps that will fix you right up. Just don't put it in a lawn mower, it'll blow 'er up.
  14. WRONG! I'm betting I could turn it off without the little prop thingy. I don't mind getting up and turning off an alarm clock, but I HATE having to find something when I'm still half asleep.
  15. I roll my window down when I stop at an intersection next to a bike with loud pipes. My wife says it can be traced back to childhood and the noise little boys make when they are playing with toy trucks.
  16. Whatever you do don't let Sonny Perdue pray for a drought.
  17. The ones that have their kid on the bike with them.
  18. I'll just be glad when we return to our regularly scheduled programming.
  19. Oh no, not that! Ah, just as well. You probably wouldn't be able to comprehend most of my posts anyway.
  20. I can't stand canned biscuits but the frozen dumplings aren't bad if you are in a hurry. Granted the c&d aren't what my grandmother used to make, but who has time to kill and clean a chicken after a long day at the office?

  22. Salt and pepper. If you use the bullion be careful with the salt.
