The Thanksgiving Special where the brothers were squirrel hunting is my favorite. Crazy old swampers.

There is a better way. But as long as 51% of the voters are stupid enough to hold their ankles there will be no need to change the way it is done. BTW, if the 140,000 other residence are going to be riding their fat asses up and down the road that goes through the property owners land, I fail to see the problem with them paying for that privilege.

What about the P.O. boxes? -
Here is what I would consider a good deal: The county sees a need to widen a road. They tell us the estimated cost. We approve a sales tax increase until that amount is raised. The day we have reached that amount the tax is removed. This proposal is just more of the same old same old. Until they actually start thinking outside the box I will just vote no.

I think a little common sense on the part of our lawmakers would go a long way. This plan is so full of bureaucracy and bullcheeze they present it like a shell game. Instead of telling me all the bad things that could happen if we don't approve it, tell me a few good things that will happen if we do. Tell me why this is better than the usual 1% Paulding County SPLOST. Being the largest with likely the largest retail sales tax collection in the "region", I have a feeling that we (Paulding County citizens) will be paying more into the "regional" fund than the rest. Why else have r

You are partially correct. Consumption tax, if properly subsidized, can be a more fair form of taxation than property tax. My problem with this splost is the regional thing. It is being sold by telling everyone that their region better not be left out or else. Also, the TV commercials showing how this little tax is going to un-snarl the traffic is very misleading. And without fail, within six months of this passing we will see an increase in every other tax that we have no choice in. Any time the DOT has a way to collect revenue they will not let it go away. Look at the GA 400 t

Stainless Revere Ware here also. Probably 20 years old and still great. Never noticed a sticking issue. With eggs we use a little PAM. I wouldn't use aluminum or Teflon.

You're older and you would. Jus sayin.

Could be the temperature / pressure relief valve (aka. pop off valve) on your water heater. This will not necessarily show as a leak all the time. Paulding water has terrible surge problems in my area. I installed a pressure regulator at the street on my side of the meter to protect my water lines and to stop the TPRV from tripping.

I just put $113 worth of that cheap diesel fuel in my pick up. If it gets any cheaper I don't know what I'll do.

Just don't drag out those nudies of the Doc. Looks like a possum crawled in her lap. Hey? Is that not in the B-I-B-L-E?

Those are dog flies. I hate them worse than any insect God came up with. You can buy an insecticide that you put in a sprayer that goes on your garden hose. What you want to spray are the low hanging branches of the trees and bushes around your yard. I did this a couple of years ago and it helped.

You need a holiday to get together with friends? Heck, all I need is a couple of extra steaks.

Something we agree on. And might I add Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter and Christmas.

Might want to edit one more time. Unless of course you're mad at your daughter about something.

She could hang out at any of the bars in Hiram. Less than perfect vision would be an advantage from what I have seen. BTW, 58 is not old. 80 is where old starts.

Interesting Statistic Concerning Unemployment
feelip replied to kcarlsonlpn's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Man! Wished I was as smart as some of you guys so I didn't know the difference in a good economy and a cheezety economy. You guys are freakin brilliant! I would just like to hang out with you to see if some of that brilliance would rub off on me. You know, there is a bright side to profit margins shrinking to 25% of what they were 4 years ago. I don't have to pay nearly as much tax. And with work being off 45% my insurance cost is down, labor is way down, materials are down....... Hey, I think I'm learning how to be a liberal. So when does the government start feeding me? -
Exactly what I was thinking.

All Bennie? I have a buddy in Merra Cus. -
I was on 285 a little bit ago and sure enough, I looked in my mirror and I was being followed by what looked to be 100 or more cars, trucks and vans. Talk about spooky! I made three trips around 285 before finally thinking I was just being paranoid, so I got off on I-20. But I wasn't being paranoid because about 20 of the ones that were following me got off too! Should I be skeered or not?

I have known Andre Waters' dad for nearly 40 years as well as his brother and a couple of his cousins. I haven't talked to any of them since around 2004 but I had not heard that Andre committed suicide.

Start off lightly sprinkling. I have dredged the steaks in it and it forms a crust with the melting fat. But I wouldn't try that on the first one. It is the perfect flavor enhancer for steak. I have used it on Boston Butts too.

You have to put it all in a coffee grinder or blender and grind it until it's like talcum powder and it doesn't.

Can't do Dales. Full of MSG. My version: Ribeyes from Sams. Rinse, pat dry and put in a large ziploc bag. Sprinkle with a mixture of 2 tablespoons coffee grounds, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne ground until powder fine. Let the steaks sit on the counter in the bag for at least 1-1/2 hours. Heat the Green Egg to 600 degrees and cook two minutes on one side, two minutes on the other side and two more minutes with all the dampers closed on the Egg. Let rest for 10 minutes. One of these and you will never care if

Exactly. That's what my wife calls me when I start talking about it.
