I saw them at Marshall's yesterday. Wendy, I can completely understand why they would work well for your "occupational hazards".

I saw a woman trying a pair on yesterday. When she finally got them on, her husband said, ever so gently, "They looked better on the display than on your foot." LOL!

When I first saw the story, I thought to myself "ehh, it's just a couple hundred bucks, probably not worth the hassle". But when you realize that you are paying 30 years of interest on that money, it's a HUGE amount. I think I heard that something like 95% of the loans they looked at over the past 15 years were overcharged on the title examination fees. Hope the word spreads because that is a lot of money and it's disgusting on sheer principle anyway.

The reason my husband became a Marine. My Father in law, dated October 1960 (he's on the far right)... Wish Photobucket didn't make the pics so small. It's so neat to see the old pictures. Grandfather.... My proud Marine veteran coming home...(sniffle)

Another of my favorite quotes... You cannot exaggerate about the Marines. They are convinced to the point of arrogance, that they are the most ferocious fighters on earth- and the amusing thing about it is that they are. Father Kevin Keaney 1st Marine Division Chaplain Korean War That is not to leave out the other branches of our armed services. But if you have ever met a Marine, you know the arrogance (I love it) that they exude. I can spot a Marine a mile away, no matter what age or haircut. -
Footballbeerchic... That is a priceless pic and you aren't kidding, DANG he's good looking!

I have a ton of them, dating back to the Civil war. But this is one of my husband, New York City Harbor, Fleet Week 2002. It was a HUGE event because it was the first Fleet Week after 9/11. Edited to add: I wish I could remember the name of the ship he was on, but it's completely escaping me at the moment.

My favorite quote about Marines. Gotta love 'em! "The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!" ~Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States, 1945. -

I just got off the phone with my husband, a retired Marine who is working with the Marines in Afghanistan. They enjoyed a nice ceremony, ate a great dinner, and now he's off to get a piece of the birthday cake. God Bless 'em all. It made me smile to think they still get birthday cake out there, and that they all take a little time to reflect on the last 234 years. -
Wow, I can't believe how much sugar people use. I'll only drink unsweet tea. I don't need the calories and I don't want my teeth to rot out of my head.

It used to be only open to those currently serving or retired with 20 years(with a few exceptions). Now regardless of when you served, for how long, you can be a member. Once you are a member, you keep it for life, and you can pass it down through your family. Did that make more sense?

I'm so glad Orange County Wives are back! I love counting up all the fake body parts.

It's about time they opened it to ALL who have honorably served! I can't say enough about this company. They have the best customer service and their products are great! We use them for everything from checking, savings, IRA's, CD's, homeowners insurance, auto insurance, etc etc. http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS214667+05-Nov-2009+BW20091105 https://www.usaa.com/inet/ent_utils/McStaticPages?key=why_choose_usaa_main

The testicles are an amazing organ. But I don't need to see how the sperm are formed.

I am flying to the Mideast to meet my husband for Christmas. From there we will travel home TOGETHER and after 20+ months of him working in Afghanistan...he will be HOME FOR GOOD! I don't care about anything else this year. The economy, politics, Christmas gifts, shopping, etc will not even register on my radar. This will be my best Christmas ever. -
I'm not a fan of viewing random uteri.

Actually, it's more effective if you start before the wrinkles become too deep (i.e early 30's). But anyone would be a fool to have the procedure done anywhere other than in a Dermatologist or Plastic surgeons office.

Thank you! Bummer, husband won't be home in time. Maybe we can catch it in a different city though.

Does anyone know how long the show runs?

The only scary movie I have ever seen was "Halloween" and that was recently. Refuse to watch them because I can't get the images out of my head when it's time to go to sleep at night. I don't mind realistic violence in movies, but I can't stand blood and gore for no reason.

Anyone know of a place to get blue jeans and jogging pants hemmed?

Me too! Kay Cleaners, I believe is the name. I've used them for years on everything from jeans to ball gowns. I've never had a problem and the gentleman that works there is so sweet. -

I LOVED that old tree but glad no one was hurt.

If I were a law-breaker, I might just send them to my husband in Afghanistan. I'm thinking that just maybe, they might travel well. But that were ONLY if I were of the criminal persuasion Otherwise, they make a great snack and they last a long time. I love 'em on salads. Pomegranate juice and champagne is a lovely combo too. They are VERY good for you....just maybe not mixed with the champagne LOL. But watch it, they STAIN BAD!!!

LOL! I haven't even thought about it in YEARS! That reminds me of playing "Pit" too! Dang, I loved that game...something about trading corn and soy brings out the crazy in people.
