I also suspect many people might be in my shoes, maxed out on the cards and making the min. payment to avoid the late fees and credit marks.

I might if I can find the time. I will be in Cartersville most of the weekend working with Bob Burns from L.S. trying to get his band up and running, so my hands are kinda full right now.

And I think you're doing a GREAT JOB!!

GREAT advice!! Just keep em' coming!!

I will keep my reply simple and short... You're welcome! GuhhhhhRRROOOSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! I have sired two daughters, so this is all I have to say about it. yep....but it's not every day you get to see a star you went to school with in such a grand movie!! I still love that flick, and anything she plays in. What a talent!! sorry...I got off track there.

I fully understand. I guess the only thing I don't understand is how many other companies will complain about the "new kids" out of school, rather just hiring someone with experience. It's the complaining that gets my goat. Sounds to me like you are with a company who's priorities are in better focus than most.

I would like to respond with a "thank you", but given the topic I would rather not. It is upsetting to me that I even know as much as I do about this. I could only hope that it strikes someone, somewhere, to help avoid it again. Seeking help is the only answer. There are things we cannot get through on our own. And all too often, it is pride that keeps so many from seeking help. That is one thing I fully understand, but it's a hard pill to swallow for a lot of people, unfortunately, because of the stigma that comes along with it.

I am not 100% on the schools, but I thought they were lumped in with the churches as well. I actually did C.S. at Chattahoochee Tech about 17 years ago (the same school I graduated from) . But someone has told me that schools were no longer an option. They could have misinformed me.

This is all great advice for younger folks. Fact is, older and more experienced people who don't even bother with the check boxes on "desired" pay or dumb it down to be qualified, will be. The older folks are now vying against the young folks for the same pay scale. How can someone not see what any employer would choose? This is not so much as job availability as it is a full generation of people are laid out to pasture because they made too much to be taken seriously to say they'll accept a cut, and that the employer knows all too well what hiring "us" would affect their insurance, namely hea

STATE LAW. Wherein, it may be possible for alternatives within a single county. But state law was as I implied earlier on prohibits churches and schools.

I know a lot of people consider these good things, and I'm not one to say they aren't. However, most of these jobs compare very similar to the very same kind before the unions had to step in and make appropriate demands for who got paid what, for actually working, which was in severe imbalance to those in charge who were not working (manually) nearly as hard. Yes, I am a Jimmy Hoffa fan. But, in all fairness, I would say that most of us got bloated pay checks for years, starting with the Reagan administration. Deep down inside, I knew I was making more money than what was deemed normal for

Unless something has changed recently, the probation doc's are very clear on these conditions. My mother pastored her own church for over 20 years. She was upset when the state changed the conditions, since she was no longer able to help people with C.S.

Thank you. Imagine how scary it is that I even posted it. I've just seen too much of it, I guess. I have always known a lot of people, and with it comes going through this more often than most people probably do. I also remember when I made judgements on this when I was younger....we all do, or did, and will. There's just no way to understand such depths. We can only pray that we never have to endure so much as to come to that decision. I have seen what you're talking about, hence, when someone is finally on the upswing, is the most crucial time they can escape the tragedy.

Churches and schools have been prohibited from offering this for several years now. You could try the American Legions, animal shelters, and other community-based entities. yep. Salvation Army, Good Will, etc. These are acceptable.

I've been to my share of these kinds of funerals. None of them ever condoned this. We've all been through hard times, and still are (some of us). So, no matter how far down we think we have been, depression can still take you further....all the way to the end. I don't believe anyone is immune to this, because some of the ones I knew were the strongest people I have ever met. Depression is a sickness, and if not caught in time, it can take over your very thought processes. The only people who fully understand how bad it can be, are the ones who are no longer among us. Therein lies the power of

My last full time job was in P.C. also. Go figure?? I doubt which county it is has any bearing on the fact that the whole state has a deficit of jobs, not to mention the whole country.
-
You may be right. My daughter applied all over the place, but the job she got was for an auto parts store just outside of the county. She's waiting on an opening for one these stores in the county as soon as one opens up. At least, she's still not too far away regarding the drive.

Being broke is bad enough. Then if your health starts failing, then you're in real trouble. Incidentally though, this weather has a lot to do with the dreariness being worse....at least for me.

You took the words right outa my mouth.

I feel the same way, and have for quite a long time.

Brang it on, baby!!!! I'm ready!!!

You sure rain came with that thunder? I've had my share of Pinto Beans this week!!!
