  1. I appreciate your comments. Why I was berated is still beyond me, and I did try to fathom his thinking through discussion. However, the discussion was merely me explaining just what UE is only to fall on deaf ears. His was a personal tone, as if to say that UE was for "other people" and not people like me. I'm not sure to this day what that meant exactly, except in his mind, things like being out of work doesn't happen to guys like myself because I know how to do other things beyond what my career had been all my life. What could NOT be explained is that regardless of what other skills I posse
  2. Scammers should go to jail, period. I think everyone would agree with that (except the scammers). For those who need it, you'll never hear a word of judgement come from my mouth. I had to draw unemployment when I was laid off several years ago. I also had to go on EBT for a while during that time. Unemployment is INSURANCE that was taken out of every paycheck I made all my life. I had the total disgust and verbal kick in the balls to endure when my BEST FRIEND made a couple of nasty remarks about me receiving UE benefits. Afterwards, I wouldn't DARE let him know I had to draw EBT for a sh
  3. No offense, but this is a rather vague request. I'd be glad to help if I had a clue as to what it is you're needing. I also don't understand needing a bay either. Tools, sure. I've had tools all my life, but up until only 7 years ago, I did all my work with a jack on a dirt and gravel driveway...that's all I had. You mention more than one vehicle also...what's the problem with which one?? There are some very generous people on this site who I'm sure would help you out, but some more accurate description of what you're needing would help us all out in our end. PM me if you feel more comfort
  4. You good folks keep me in mind for your Autumn Outdoor Power Equipment Repairs. This includes leaf blowers, chainsaws, generators, log splitters, etc. and of course, your lawn mowers. It looks like we may have a longer season than I thought. We certainly had one of the best grass growing seasons in some tell me, 40 years or longer! This is also a good time to have your summer equipment winterized so it will endure storage, and not let you down next season. Please call 678-315-8794 for details. I have also updated my website to reflect some changes, as well as showing you around the sh
  5. I can't say for sure what I had was a sty. In fact, I think it was a nasty bacterial infection, especially how it spread to the other eye. For fear it might have been a staph infection, I did break down and took antibiotics for about 3 days from some left over a long while back. But I still don't think that's what helped it heal because it had already moved towards the eye lid and ready to burst and do its oozing thing. Sties are usually in the corner of the eye, caused from either a virus or a clogged tear duct. You can use either COLD or WARM. Both will accomplish the same thing, it
  6. I had what turned out to be a sty, but started well above the inside of my eyelid. It lasted about 4 days, then the infection apparently got transferred to the other side, only this was on the bottom eye lid and equally as low and inside as the last one. I managed to heal up without antibiotics though. Warm compresses will do the trick. I also used just a basic saline eye drop solution for when the infection starts to run out and onto the eyeball itself. That stuff burns!! Warm tea bags worked amazingly well for the swelling and pain though. Also eat very healthy and substitute water for soft
  7. Absolutely!! They should NOT get paid a DIME while being shut down. It's not like they'll go broke, since I'm sure all their favorite lobbies will take up the slack for them. "Elections" is just a word now. It's really more of an "auction" since this is nothing more than just that.
  8. I'm trying to get a couple of backpack blowers going, and I have some handheld ones too but haven't gotten to them yet. I have an electric edger that's perfect for a small driveway if you have an extension cord. But I don't have any small mowers, only large riding mowers/tractors. I'm making a scrap run today so I'll see if I can find any small engines to build a push mower before hauling the rest away.
  9. Most everything I drew plans on were all 2D, which is what most people still use for construction purposes. The 3D element remains a mainstay for selling ideas and inventions, to give a better idea to the less mechanically inclined a clearer picture of what they are dealing with. However, most all civil engineering uses the Z axis for topography. Assigning Z coord's to contours is how LDD produces profiles for underground utilities. It's also very visually handy for grading sites.
  10. Solid works is the standard in 3-dimensional mechanical drafting. (I wish I could get my hands on that program and become familiar with it!!) I've been using ACAD since it hit the market in the 80's. It would be impossible to create a 3D drawing from a 2D drawing without going into the Z axis and extruding the 3 dimensional elements (basically, the depth of all the components along the Z axis.)
  11. I can do all that stuff and I have my own CAD at home. My problem is having the time to draw it though. I wish you needed this in another month or two after things slow down on mower repairs.
  12. Just a reminder that LEAF season is almost here. If your leaf blower's not doing well, give me a call.
  13. That's true, and it's total bullcheeze! I see a huge difference between being born or contracting an illness that diminishes the victim into needing assistance, and ANYONE suffering for their own poorly chosen lifestyle. Consequences, especially negative ones brought on by ourselves, should come with a price to US. Not all of those around us or anyone else. "Consequences" is a word that is rapidly losing meaning in this nation. Too many bail-out options. Not enough accountability. That said, I have plenty of family and friends older than myself, some the same age as me, who became physical

  15. I'm the same way...all business, no games, music, etc. I'll probably update within another day or two. I just research the heck outa these things before I jump onboard.
  16. I am so glad this was posted! I heard about the upgrade over the weekend and it just popped up on my phone yesterday. I am always reluctant to upgrade until I have read a lot of opinions with pros and cons. Battery life has never been a problem on my Iphone 4. But if upgrading it causes one, then I think I'll hold off for now. All of my business correspondence goes to my phone, from email, to FB, etc. It took a long time to set everything up, so does anyone know if I'll have to redo all of that with the upgrade?
  17. Tonight is even more majestic!! Beautiful!!
  18. I offer MOBILE service in many cases, especially involving walk-behind, or push mowers. I also offer pick-up and delivery for larger riding mowers, and mowers that may require a trip to the shop for repair. Give me a call at 678-315-8794 to set up an appointment. You can also e-mail me at: glennsmowerrepair@att.net (If possible, list a brief description of the trouble you're having & include the model no. to your mower). I appreciate your business! Glenn
  19. 12:30, and I got the WRONG LOCATION!! It's gonna be at The Clinton Wildlife Preserve: 8720 ephesus church road villa rica Sorry for the confusion.
  20. Probably too much! I know I put about $30 just in paint and sandpaper and tape on this one. Then about 16 hours of labor.
