As I stated, that is how I would vote and why. Does everyone fit into those categories, No. But the mere thought, TO ME, is reason enough for my rationalizations. You are entitled to yours. As for acting stupid when drunk.... I have NEVER been impressed by even a social drinker. They start looking dazed, their speech slows, their eyes looked glazed and they all smell like alcohol. Not pretty or pleasant to look at. Not changing my opinion that I am entitled to. Not changing yours either and that's ok. I just have a strong bias as I stated. Oh yeah, I didn't base my reasoning

I will stand up and say I will vote "NO" given the opportunity towards Sunday sales. I am extremely biased against it since having dealt with alcoholism during my childhood. To me it just gives more opportunities for people to get drunk, abuse their kids/wives/families/etc., drive drunk, or absolutely act stupid. Seriously, have you ever been a sober observer of a drunk person? Why would anyone enjoy getting drunk knowing how foolish they look and act, or even smell? Do people really feel that it is worth the hangovers? Never mind, I don't drink - so I will never understand it. As

I agree. The parent(s) were trying to bring attention to the subject of the graduation test. They felt it was unfair that their child attended 12+ years of school, worked hard, challenged herself with honors classes only to be denied the opportunity to walk with her class. All because of 1 specific test. For them, it is like saying we don't care how hard you work, if you don't pass this test -- you don't walk. We don't care. As with any debate, there will be people who are on your side and against. If you don't want people talking, don't publicly announce your situation.

Anticipated problems like yours are why I am going to fight to keep my kid in the program. My kid has a diagnosed learning challenge, but happens to be smart. Because she did well on the CRCT's but was barely passing her class, + other things. I know if she comes out of the program, she will lose modification options IF needed. She is no longer in special classes and is doing well, but her challenge isn't going away and never will. I want' her to have every opportunity to do well. I feel like they did a disservice to your child. Totally unfair. They should have worked for her, not

Had to do a report... You have no idea how many butts have been found in small animals and birds undigested. Autopsies on them showed nicotine poisoning. one link Another one more There are dozens more....

My firstborn passed it on the first try, but the other 3 haven't gotten to that point yet. I also know some people just don't test well. At the meetings at SPHS the folks preached about additional help and retake opportunities for the ones who didn't pass (both freshman and senior meetings). Not sure if it was offered at this person's HS. The schools want their students to pass. If the student is struggling, they are willing to help them as long as the student is also willing.

My little girl had them out at 18 months. Wasn't near as bad as when I had them out. She didn't even get sick.

Ethanol Free gas in Ga The closest one is in Cartersville, but even the site does not guarantee that it is still in operation. Most of the folks I talk to go to Alabama (Lake Wedowee, I think). It's one of those Lakes anyway. If you don't use your two-cycle equipment very often, they sell 50:1 Fuel that is premixed fuel without any ethanol. It's more expensive, but cheaper than replacing a carburetor, fuel lines, and primer bulbs annually. The key is not to let your fuel get old (more than a month) in your equipment or in your gas can. That goes for everything you own - cars,

Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I have mine. I believe it was a very calculated move on your president's part. His platform was peace and one of his last acts is to claim victory over killing Bin Laden's death. I turned the tv off last night getting annoyed that the "big announcement" was actually being made during the political analysis. I also believe this was years late in occurring. And this morning, listening to your president reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and uttering the words, "One nation, Under God". If this turns into his platform and someho

Needed to vent. Why do they feel the need to break in that the president has an important announcement, then spend the next ten minutes telling us what the announcement is and then analyzing it? Guess they needed to go first.

Sorry, I feel your anger is misdirected. Yes, our country has it's own problems and disasters, but just because of that, the world doesn't stop turning. I am proud of those kids for not forgetting what some consider "yesterday's news". They might be trying to raise funds for family members over there. They may have been planning this donation drive for awhile. It doesn't matter. What does matter is that they were putting their energies to help out a cause they felt was worthy. There might have even been another group of the same kids gathering donations for the tornado victims.

My son presented also. I was very proud of how much effort he put into it. I really liked it. -
Wondered what was going on. Saw 2 police cars, fire rescue and an engine head that direction. Prayers for all

If a person is driving a vehicle with a placard or a license plate for the disabled and challenged, I don't consider it my job to judge them. You never know their circumstances unless you know them personally. Honestly they may be a caregiver who truly needs to be back as quickly possible. Of course, there are those who abuse it. There always will be and that is why the apple barrel is spoiled for many. Now I do have an issue with people who use the striped lines parking. There is a reason they are marked off. It's just rude. I wish the codes were enforced. I guess the stripes

The guy probably doesn't care anyway. He possibly has already been spoken to by others being a repeat offender. He doesn't care. If the police won't act and the complex won't have his vehicle towed (as it should be) why not go to the next level? It might be the only way to get real action. Plus, your outside activities can reflect a bad impression on the business you work for. If I saw a person in any uniform blatantly disobeying the law, I would report it. If they have no respect for others, they apparently have no respect for their uniform or who they work for or represent. The

My daughter has a Civil Rights assignment and needs to ask questions from someone who lived through that period and remembers it. There are 25 questions if anyone is available to help her. (My folks have passed and she can't reach her other grandparents (they are traveling). Thanks in advance. Here are the first 5 questions: 1. What have you personally experienced during the time of segregation? 2. How did it affect your family? 3. How did different racial groups get along when you were younger? 4. What did segregation mean to you? 5. Did you accept t

Technically it doesn't have to be sexual advances. It doesn't specify that you have to be a woman either. Not everyone is comfortable around that type of "environment". I'm not. I even stopped of couple of TEENAGERS in Wallyworld dropping the "F" bomb, among others, in front of my 5 year old. It bothers me that a person feels like they can act in a professional setting the same way they act in their own home or bar or whatever. For one thing, it can, and probably is, distracting from your job which can cause mistakes. If the OP actually does work at Delta, then the last t

I agree with the ones suggesting surveillance cameras or simply video-taping them in while they are actually doing the harassing. Videos can speak volumes.
-
Heck, I worry anytime I hear anyone say that....
-
Sexual harassment is against the law, or at least for businesses with 15 employees or more. Document and report and carefully move up the food chain. Most businesses are not very friendly towards anyone who does not follow the proper chain of command. If it is a big company, they should have a employee handbook or, at minimum, access to one. Find it and read it. If nothing else works, seek legal advice. Unfortunately, there are a lot of "good ole boys" unspoken rules that are followed regardless to legality. No one should be forced to work in an unfriendly environment/host

"special tool" Hubby used it to the point of extreme annoyance. And, at the moment, "not my problem" and "don't we all".

I do and I list any information that they would normally request. I include copies of medical cards also. You never know when the unexpected might happen. Broken bones, ear infection, etc. -
I would have loved to have seen George too. I actually liked it, but I enjoy musicals ....and I don't watch the show religiously either. I liked it.
