  1. OH NO! That is so sad. It must have been in a lot of pain with hooves damaged that severely though.
  2. Oh wow I like the Events2000.com. I became a fan on Facebook so that I can keep up with the listing of events. Thank you for the link.
  3. Try this link: www.exploregeorgia.org Look in the "events" section. You can do searches there for a particular festival or by city name. I like to use the regional search to the left on the screen. As it gets closer to spring they will start showing a lot of festivals and shows for spring/summer/fall. Happy hunting!
  4. I don't feel anything inside Publix and I very much like having the store there. It's the parking lot that sometimes gives me the creeps at night. Now the area across from Walgreens is really creepy at night. I think that's the cemetary.
  5. Lucky64, maybe you should see if the gym has punching bags? Sounds like some of these ladies could use some time on them to beat the heck out of something! I have been there before too. Today my funk is mostly over a fibromyalgia flare up. Tired of not being able to sleep and not being able to work on projects in my house that really need to be done. My body just doesn't cooperate with my plans anymore! Oh Shan I am sorry hun. It looks like you still have a couple of months to go. That's gotta suck. Please take care of yourself and baby. Try to remember that when it's all over with
  6. Sooner or later it probably happens to everyone. I have locked mine in a vehicle 2 times in my life. After that I started keeping a complete spare set of my keys and car remote at home. If you are out and about when it happens, then a good friend or a cab ride will get you home to pick up the spare set and back to your car. I have to think ahead with this type of stuff since hubby travels so much for work and I am frequently out alone. I guess all those years I was single and lived alone helped prepare me for now.
  7. Internet Explorer 8 on Windows Vista. I run Windows Vista. My computer checks for Windows updates weekly. If Microsoft releases an "urgent" update then my computer is set to receive the update instantly. This computer is only 1.5 years old. I do run virus protection and a firewall 24/7. Every once in a while I will run my 2 spyware removal programs for updates and scans. I frequently clean out my temporary files. My "topic display mode" has always been set to standard. I have tried logging out of P.com and logging back in. I have even went into "internet options" in the "advanced" tab
  8. EVERY time I hit the back button while on this website I get a page saying "webpage has expired". This only started when we had the forum change over. It is annoying as heck and it is very time consuming. The solution mentioned above by JohnnyJ is the option my setting has always been on, so this isn't a solution for my problem.
  9. I think it went down for a few minutes. I have AT&T DSL here and had the same problem.
  10. In the case of the "hacked by a hatchet" you are probably talking about a crime. If the court finds the person guilty then they can also be ordered to pay "restitution" to you, but since they will probably also be in jail/prison then good luck collecting on it quickly.
  11. You must have missed it because that is where I am at.
  12. Yep. I am off East Paulding in New Hope and it did the same at my house. It even shook my bed. I bet my cats are all hiding now. It frequently hits the drag strip behind the house.
  13. Yep. That time it shook my bed! Yikes.
  14. Sure you can! I am here by myself too, but I am use to it. Just me and the four cats.
  15. It has been thundering off/on for a few hours now. I think I noticed it about 3am when one of my cats slid off the bed and under it. He HATES thunder and will crawl across the floor until hours after it stops!
  16. We giggled through our entire ceremony! Especially when I realized that the candles on each side of the unity candle weren't lit for us, so he says "it's ok, I will light them", then as he is lighting them he is saying "fire, fire...hehe" like on Beavis and Butthead. OMG I will never forget that.
  17. Try Staples or TigerDirect.com.
  18. MrsB do you have the 6" or 9" Kindle? I have thought about trying it because of the large variety of books available and the lower price on the books, but I am worried that with my hand pain and swelling the 9" would weigh too much. My hubby is just happy that I am not adding as many books to my now 6 bookcases full that are 6' tall! Is the 6" Kindle large enough to show the larger font or do you have to scroll alot?
  19. Yes, on the Sony E readers you can enlarge the font size. I got mine for Christmas at Best Buy and it has 5 font sizes. The screen is smaller than the Amazon Kindle but I can keep notes in it and it isn't as heavy. I think the Amazon Kindle can read PDF files. Have you also tried reading glasses? I have to wear them over my CONTACTS that I keep in for regular vision! Doctor says otherwise I will have to switch to bifocals. Ugh! Sorry I don't have any information on reading books online.
  20. I doubt hubby would like Jacksonville, Orlando or Miami as he has to visit there too many times for work. I don't want him thinking about work at all! He needs a break.
  21. We were thinking about April too for either Myrtle Beach or Gulf Shores, but I found out the water would probably still be chilly. Now I am thinking the end of May IF hubby can get off work. When I went to Tybee about 2005 it was very quiet and peaceful, but I don't know if children would enjoy that. They may be more interested in the carnival rides and go cart racing at Myrtle Beach. What is Gulf Shores like in April or May? I have never been there. Have they recovered from the hurricane damage they had?
  22. LMAO! The blizzard of 93' was supposed to be a 100 year event, and yes we had spring weather for a week before it happened. Also, my great grandfather told about a time we had snow coming down in Paulding in JUNE! Of course it didn't stick. That would have been weird as heck. You just never know around here.
  23. Last time I checked Work Out Anytime is supposed to have beds in both the Hiram and Dallas locations.
  24. I have a flock of robins in my yard every time it rains hard because we seem to have a ton of earthworms that come out. Yes, it is a flock. Usually about 10-20 of them.
