  1. Just need to stir up the garden (3rd year) and then churn some new organic soil into it; getting ready to plant. Do you rent tillers?
  2. Put it off until I was 63. Twern't nothin! Even the stuff I drank, they told me to mix it with gatorade and it was not too bad. Plus I had a little wine! (They said "liquid diet" and it seemed to fit right into that category. You don't even know you're having a test!!
  3. Chose to spend it by myself because I am "dieting"; doing very well and do not want to sit in a room with mashed potatoes and gravy. Church will be Sat evening. I have never been to a sunrise service; doubt I ever will. Not a morning girl.
  4. And do you give change? Or just a cute jester to keep you guessing all day! lol
  5. I would bet tons! I am in my 60's; back then: that type of thing was kept in the family!! I was once in a panel discussion on a similar topic. Most of the people I interviewed had someone in their family; it happened in my family (we found out YEARS later). My family didn't tell anyone; I am not even sure he was even approached. And I had two friends (sisters) and older brother did and they were afraid to tell anyone. Now? I wouldn't hesitate to tell.
  6. The tire went flat very close to Walmart so drove it in there because they have tires. Once they checked out what the last place did, they did not want to put on a new tire. BTW, this happened at 4:00 a.m. with a wind chill in the 20's; went to closest place
  7. SIL got a flat tire on his way through here to work. Took it to Walmart. The lug nuts were not put on correctly and they bolts are stripped. Walmart won't touch it. Who has the ability around here to handle that situation. He can get it towed. TIA
  8. I would not even be tempted. In fact, my kids wouldn't even ask. And living with me is so miserable, two only tried it once. We never confuse being nice with being stupid in our family. lol I have worked HARD my whole life from 16 until 64 years old. Like I tell relatives. I didn't like getting up 5 days a week any more than they would, but it kept a roof over my head. My brother chose to live under a bridge; hate it for ya pal; but go get a job!! I'll make them food; continue to love them; might even buy them a pair of shoes; but that's it!! Keep your money, give your love
  9. well that is interesting, because i can pick an good cantelope!
  10. My mom used to say it is colder than a witches tit in a brass brassiere.
  11. If these are chosen before ripe, to me, they taste like gasoline (or something comparable). And that is always what I do. Please, please your tips and ideas!!
  12. And if you see a stray, let him take shelter in your garage and call animal control. Thanks!!
  13. Morining weight; naked; after bathroom; before food and coffee.
  14. I started slicing them in half, use evoo on the outside plus the salt. I can eat them plain like that
  15. supposedly it is past us and heading into acworth
  16. That is the right gold color but I don't think these little guys have black on them! Thanks for the picture; that is close.
  17. I'll try to get a picture but don't want to scare them. This is a definite muted gold; not yellow. thank you
  18. I was thinking they were gold finches; but looking at pics (gold finches seem bright yellow); not the right color. These birds are a muted gold, small birds. They are busy, busy, busy today building a nest in my gas grill. lol. No jokes about roasting them!!!! I was going to buy a new grill anyway so they can use it until they are finished.
  19. Well you have done the hard part by training him so well and loving him. I so hope you find the right home for him!! You've done a great job. (and I love the name Harley)
  20. I have seen so it so many times, I think I know every line in the movie. I also love Funny Girl.
  21. Wow, I am so in love with my garden and now I learn it is rather insignificant LOL. I am from PA and we could get silver queen corn on every corner. I miss it so much. I do use about 5 very large patio pots; that helps. Ok, well I will start a few seedlings and see how it goes. I also love growing lettuce. And it isn't just about saving money - I enjoy picking vegetables and eating them for my next meal. Thank you for your recommendation and advice.
  22. Thank you - Great help! I think I will also attend the gardening class
